Badrutt’s Palace prices fall by CHF 950 from early January to late March: the hotel’s Superior Double with breakfast goes from CHF 2,210 to CHF 1,260. I’d come for the final ski week, and ask for the Rolls-Royce that picks you up at the station on request.

The conditions

When does a night at Badrutt’s Palace cost less?

Winter opens on 3 December4 and ends with the departures of 30 March; then the hotel shuts until summer. March is the light month, with a typical night at CHF 1,5101, and December follows at CHF 1,886, while January and February sit above CHF 2,200.

The dear weekends have names: Snow Polo and THE ICE5, in late January, push the priced nights to CHF 3,699, CHF 3,099 and CHF 3,077. On a Friday in mid-January the cheapest thing the hotel still sells is a Serlas Wing Suite at CHF 5,6202. Over the holidays and in mid-February, a single night cannot be bought at all.

On the same Superior Double2, on a Saturday in February, the hotel asks CHF 2,460 and Booking.com CHF 2,681, and on Google only the hotel’s line says breakfast is in. On 23 March a reseller drops to CHF 1,089, CHF 171 under the hotel: on Google it shows only its price, and its own site names the room. Before chasing that CHF 171, ask it for the room, the breakfast and the last day to cancel: I’d book with the hotel.

In summer, from early June to early September, Google has a single price, CHF 1,198 for the last night. On the hotel’s booking page3 a Superior Double with breakfast is CHF 1,200 a night for 2 nights in mid-July, and cable cars and local transport are free.

    The general terms give 7 days in winter, the booking page names 30 with a deposit: the date on your confirmation counts, so read it before you pay.

  • Check the event nights

    Minimum stays apply over the holidays, Snow Polo, THE ICE and mid-February. If a night has no price, try more nights.

  • Look past the member rate

    The first figure on the booking page is the Leaders Club rate, 5% less and behind a log-in: CHF 2,100 against CHF 2,210 in early January. The rate for everyone is the line with the RESERVE button.

  • Ask any seller for the total with the tax

The Superior Double Room Village Side9 is about 25 m², with a king or 2 twin beds, for 2, with no balcony and no extra bed, and it looks onto the village. On the night it costs CHF 2,210, the Deluxe Double on the same side2, which also takes a third guest, is CHF 2,402, and the Signature Double with a balcony over the lake CHF 3,040. In late March the hotel also sells a Deluxe Double with a lake view3: if you came for the lake, ask for that name.

How much is a night at Badrutt’s Palace?

From the hotel, for 2 in a Superior Double with breakfast: CHF 2,210 on Tuesday 5 January 2027, CHF 2,460 on Saturday 20 February, CHF 1,260 on Tuesday 23 March and CHF 1,200 in mid-July. On Google Hotels1 the lowest night is CHF 1,089 and the highest CHF 4,768.

Is half board (Halbpension) included?

No: the hotel sells it as Culinary Delight4, a dinner credit of CHF 160 per adult a day at Le Relais or Le Restaurant, or CHF 100 at La Coupole-Matsuhisa, Chesa Veglia, King’s Social House, La Diala and room service, drinks excluded. In summer it is CHF 100 a day in every restaurant, drinks included.

Is half board compulsory at Christmas?

Yes, for everyone aged 12 or over during the festive period: the holiday terms quote prices with breakfast and a dinner credit.

Is a ski pass included?

Only from 18 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, when it sits in the rate. The rest of the winter you buy it at a discount, or take the Luxury Ski Break7, which includes it.

Is the Kurtaxe extra?

Yes: it is CHF 5 a person a night from age 12, CHF 10 for 2 adults, and the hotel keeps it outside the rate5.

Which seller was cheapest, and is it the same room?

On 23 March a reseller, dealbase.com, at CHF 1,089: on Google it shows only its price, and its own site names the room, while Booking.com asked CHF 1,373 for the Superior Double. On 5 January the lowest line was the hotel’s own, a Superior Double with breakfast at CHF 2,210, level with Bookhotel.direct.

When is the hotel closed?

From 31 March to 3 June 2027, and in autumn from 7 September: nothing is sold in those weeks. Winter opens on 3 December 2026, summer on 4 June 2027.

How much is a third bed in the room?

From Deluxe up, CHF 220 a day, CHF 276 from 26 December to 1 January. Under 6 it is free; from 6 to 11, half price.
