Aman Kyoto hotel prices: what ¥428,320 buys, season by season

One figure fills Aman Kyoto hotel prices from mid-June to September: ¥428,320 for 2 on Wednesday 14 July 2027. It buys a 60 m² Susuki room, breakfast, the evening aperitif and the onsen, with 16% service, 10% tax and Kyoto’s ¥20,000 lodging tax inside.

Aman Kyoto night by night, November 2026 to September 2027

Google’s lowest line1 is in yen, for 2. November is the red maples14: ¥858,220 to ¥951,456 almost every night. On Monday 7 December the line drops to ¥555,904, and most nights to the 20th sit near ¥530,400. New Year climbs from ¥925,952 on Tuesday 29 December to the top of the year, and on Thursday 7 January it falls to ¥357,918, with 42 nights at that figure by 12 March. From 2 to 10 February it jumps back to ¥568,672 or more. The nights from 20 March to 6 April have no price: on Sunday 28 March7 the hotel’s page refuses a single night and suggests a longer stay or another date. April then opens at ¥956,576 on the 7th and settles, by the 21st, at the ¥606,944 that fills most of May.

The hotel is missing from the seller rows2 on the nights below, and its own page is the one that names a room. On Tuesday 8 December Trip.com, Tripadvisor and Bookhotel.direct show ¥530,400, which is exactly the hotel’s Susuki6 at ¥400,000 with every charge added. On Saturday 27 February the same room5 comes to ¥428,320 and Trip.com matches it, while Yahoo! Travel shows ¥379,610 and Ikyu ¥410,872. Neither names a room, so ask them what the gap leaves out.

Here is the ¥428,320 as a bill: Wednesday 14 July 2027, Susuki for 2, Standard Daily Rate4. Rate ¥320,000, breakfast in. Service at 16%10, ¥51,200. Consumption tax at 10% on both, ¥37,120. Kyoto’s lodging tax13, ¥10,000 each, ¥20,000. Total ¥428,320, on 115 nights of the year.

A guest in July 202616 found the hotel especially beautiful in summer. Another, in October 2026, came for the onsen, found it broken and was offered nothing, at what that guest called this reputation and cost.

5 things to settle before paying

  • Ask whether the ¥20,000 is in the total

Kyoto charges it per guest per night, and a low figure from a seller may simply leave it for you to pay at the hotel.

  • Ask which of the 4 rooms the figure buys

On Tuesday 12 January the hotel’s cheapest room on sale is a Nara, so a seller with a lower figure that night should say what it is selling.

  • Price dinner before you book the room

The dinner plans sit beside the room rate on the booking page: ask whether one can still be added afterwards.

  • Get the free-cancellation date in writing

Ask for it with the first payment date, on the rate you actually booked.

  • Ask whether the onsen is open on your dates

Ask too what the hotel offers if it shuts during your stay.
