Ashford Castle prices: a Corrib from the castle costs €527 on a February Tuesday

Ashford Castle prices open a gate kept for guests, and some winter mornings the guided walk goes out with the Irish wolfhounds. A Corrib for 2 costs €527 on Tuesday 9 February, breakfast and tax in; I’d come midweek, before April.

You can come midweek in winter: from January to March the castle’s own rate puts a Corrib at €527 to €545, less than half of June’s €1,125.

When it costs less

You want the estate in summer at a winter price: from May a typical night stays above €1,000, and the winter rate is gone.

Month by month

In winter the castle costs half

The castle has 2 seasons of price, and the line between them is May. On Google¹ a typical night costs €678 in January, €542 in February, €635 in March and €742 in April; from May to September it stays between €1,061 and €1,229. November and December sit in between, at €980 and €1,005, and some nights carry no price at all, Christmas among them.

The towering nights need reading room by room. On Thursday 26 November a night on Google costs €4,510, and Vio.com calls it a Standard Room; on the castle’s booking page³ the only room you can arrive in that night is a Stateroom, at €5,035. The other peaks are not all alike: on a Thursday in mid-June a night on Google costs €3,938, while the castle still sells a Deluxe Queen at €1,710. Before you pay any night above €2,000, ask the castle first.

In winter the castle’s own rate is the one to beat. On Tuesday 26 January the Exclusive Winter Experience³ puts the Corrib at €527, 10% under the castle’s own bed and breakfast at €585, with the same breakfast, Éalú and golf, plus a welcome drink. Hotels.com² asks €585 for the same Corrib, the castle’s price without the discount; on 9 February Trip.com asks that figure too. 4 resellers start at €518, €9 less: on Google that is a price alone, and their own sites name the room.

Guests¹² feel the extras. In September 2026 one wrote that after a thousand a night the place still nickel-and-dimes you, and in June 2025 another put everything after the room at twice the market value. In October 2025 a guest who paid roughly 1,700 a night found the room too small.

5 things to settle before paying

Take the winter rate if your nights allow
It is not sold every night: on the weekends in the table you cannot arrive on it. Where it is, it costs 10% less than bed and breakfast on the same room.
Get the deadline on your confirmation
The terms sit in your reservation, and a card guarantees it. Ask for the last day to cancel without charge.
Make sure you are booking the castle
The Lodge is a separate hotel on the estate. Check the name on the booking.
Expect a hold at check-in
The hotel pre-authorises a card for the stay and extras. Ask the amount if your limit is tight.
Ask for the package
Christmas and New Year’s Eve are sold on enquiry, with a black-tie dinner. Ask the hotel directly for this year’s price.

The Corrib³ is the entry: about 23 m², king or twin, 2 adults, with no lake promised. On 9 February, on the winter rate, the Corrib Lake is €590, about 25 m² with the water, and the Deluxe €666, about 29 m². The Deluxe Lake, about 31 m², costs €720. A family of 4 needs the Deluxe Queen, about 45 m², at €885 on bed and breakfast.

The last room in the house: that night the castle lets you arrive only in a Stateroom, at €5,035. Vio.com calls its €4,510 a Standard Room, so ask it which of the castle’s rooms that is.
