Getting there without a room

From Palm Gateway
The Palm Monorail⁸ stops right by the park entrance: AED 20 one way, AED 30 return⁷, and AED 99 return for 4 on the Family Pass. You reach Palm Gateway by Dubai Tram or leave the car in one of its 1,600-plus spaces, free for 3 hours with a validated monorail ticket and AED 10 an hour after that. Trains run from 9am to 10pm⁶.
From the roundabout
After the tunnel, on Crescent Road, turn right, then right again at the first roundabout for the Aquaventure car park⁴; a free shuttle takes you to the main entrance. P18 costs nothing⁶ for day visitors.
To The Avenues
Ask for Aquaventure Waterpark and the driver drops you at The Avenues⁴; the Ticketing Plaza is straight ahead on foot.
Bring ID
Bring your passport³: the pass with the aquarium asks tourists for it, and UAE residents for a physical Emirates ID. Food, drinks, glass and alcohol stay outside, and staff may check bags³.

The rules that shape the day

Closed areas	Aquaventure warns of maintenance closures at Neptune Tower, Torrent River, Splashers Lagoon and Splashers Mountain: ask which have reopened before you fix your day
On their own	From age 12; younger children come with an adult
Minimum height	1.2 metres for Odyssey of Terror, Blackout, Vortex, Poseidon’s Revenge and Slitherine; 1.07 metres for Medusa’s Lair, Shockwave, Hydra Racers, Zoomerango and Aquaconda, with an adult if under 1.2 metres
Lifejackets	Required for swimmers under 1.2 metres
Swimwear	One-piece, two-piece, speedo, rash guard, board shorts and burkini; no abayas, sarees, cotton, jeans or street clothes
On the slides	No selfie sticks or action cameras; phones only in a waterproof neck pouch, and never on Vortex

If you sleep at Atlantis

A room with a king bed and a second bed, facing the sea

On arrival day, with the room not ready, reception stores your bags⁶ and hands you a temporary card that works from 10am; on departure day a Front Office pass is good after 12pm. Towels come free from the cabanas in the park, and hotel guests get in early⁴.
