Baur au Lac changes price by season, hardly ever by weekday: the median night sits at about CHF 1,242 from Monday to Sunday. February is the light month, with a typical night at CHF 972¹, and March follows at CHF 1,017. From May it climbs to CHF 1,377, June to August hold at CHF 1,421, and September falls back to CHF 1,242.

Two stretches break the pattern. In mid-January 10 nights in a row start at CHF 1,601, the year’s top, and the hotel’s Double Room on Early Booker costs CHF 1,782. New Year’s Eve⁷ is the only night with no price: the hotel does not sell it on its own, so ask whether it sells it with more nights.

On Google the hotel’s figure² is its Early Booker rate, and it carries the 14-day deadline. Around it sit the resellers: on 9 February Hotels.com asks CHF 957 and Vio.com CHF 997 for a room it calls a Standard Room, while Booking.com asks CHF 1,136 for a Deluxe Double Room. On Google none of the 3 shows a cancellation term; their own sites do: ask each for the total and the last day to cancel. Until it is the same Double Room on the same terms, book with the hotel.

A guest in August 2026¹¹ called it ruinously expensive, and chose to accept that. Another, in June 2025, paid CHF 800 for a courtyard view and wrote that, knowing, they would have cancelled in time.
