The best hotels in Zurich

Among the best hotels in Zurich, I would choose the Widder for a weekend on foot and the Dolder for time spent in the hotel itself. With plenty of luggage, I would consider the Schweizerhof: the porter can meet you at the platform. For several trips into the centre each day, I would save the Dolder for another visit.

Frequently asked questions

Where would I look for connecting rooms for a larger family?

At the Schweizerhof1, Grand Family rooms combine 3 rooms for up to 6 people. At FIVE2, 2 connecting Luxe rooms cover 106–120 m² with 2 king beds: I would consider them to give parents and children separate bedrooms.

How do you reach the Dolder by public transport?

From Zürich HB, I would take a tram to Römerhof, then the Dolderbahn3 to Dolder. There is a short walk from the stop.

Do hotels pay to be in the guide?

No. No hotel pays to be in the guide or for the verdict it gets, and Lumina earns nothing from bookings.

Written and checked by Lumina, independently of the hotels it names. Lumina sells no rooms: every link leads to its source.
