Breakfast with eggs
I would make time for eggs Benedict. The CHF 42 buffet includes an egg dish of your choice; à la carte Benedict costs CHF 21. Complimentary Grab’n’Go is a separate service.12
I’d take the Castellan Suite’s rooftop terrace: sit among the plants and Enge’s rooftops, then walk down to the lake. There are 57 rooms and suites in this 1930s Art Deco building; for swimming and saunas you head out to nearby Stockerhof.
The Tonhalle is directly opposite: I’d walk back from the concert and end the evening on the Castellan Suite’s terrace, above Enge’s rooftops. For a holiday spent mostly in a spa, a hotel with its own wellness floor will suit you better.

For a seat among the rooftops, I would choose the 43–48 m² Castellan Suite with its private terrace. The 31 m² Grand Superior has a 3 m² balcony instead.
On 4–10 January 2027, individual nights range from CHF 317 to CHF 384. For 3 nights with less variation, I would look at 5–7 February: CHF 332 each, searched separately for 2 adults.
The buffet costs CHF 42, with an egg dish of your choice; à la carte Benedict costs CHF 21. For dinner, I would keep the CHF 21 empanadas and CHF 46 octopus in mind.
For the saltwater pool and saunas, head to nearby Stockerhof, with complimentary access for hotel guests. For dinner at Castellan’s, I would return before the kitchen closes at 10 pm, Monday to Saturday.
For a few days in Zurich, I would start with the Superior king: 21–26 m², against 18 m² in the queen-bedded Deluxe. For reading outdoors, the Grand Superior adds a 3 m² balcony; the Castellan gives you a rooftop terrace and 43–48 m² indoors.1
The gym, spa and pool are at nearby Fitnesspark Stockerhof, with complimentary access for hotel guests: a saltwater pool, whirlpool, saunas and steam bath. Your swim takes you outside the hotel.123

180 guests said so on Google, from 1 January 2022 to 12 October 2026. The 180 comments with text include stays, dining and other visits; they are not all verified overnight stays. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
