I would choose the Renaissance for work in Zurich West and a roomy place to return to: individual nights on 20–22 November 2026 start at CHF 198 for 2. For a holiday spent in the old town’s streets I would stay closer to them.

Terrace seating and plants
  1. The floor I would choose

For views I would choose a higher-floor Panoramic, still with 30 m²; 2 double beds retain a maximum occupancy of 2, so travelling with children I would move to the Family Room.

  2. Dates to consider

Nights on 20–22 November 2026 range from CHF 198 to CHF 201; for a January break I would consider 2–8 January 2027, with individual nights from CHF 205 to CHF 227.

  3. Going up to the lounge

Before going up to the Sky Lounge I would check the rate: entry needs an eligible room or Bonvoy status, while gym and sauna access are included for hotel guests.

  4. Arriving with a pet

With a pet I would allow CHF 35 a night and check the 10 kg limit; on-site parking adds CHF 29 a day, another figure to keep in the budget.

What the Renaissance Zurich Tower is

Every room starts at 30 m², with large windows and Dada-inspired details. The yellow curtains and patterns behind the beds would reward a closer look; for more of Zurich in the view, I would choose a higher-floor Panoramic.

Hardbrücke connects this part of Zurich to the railway. The Renaissance makes sense for Zurich West, around Pfingstweidpark, Im Viadukt and Schiffbau; I would stay with plans for this side of the city already in mind. Reaching the old town takes a separate journey.

The gym and sauna are on the 15th floor; Sky Lounge entry requires the appropriate room or eligible Bonvoy status. For dinner I would book Equinox or a fondue gondola, stationary on the terrace and seating up to 6. Lucid Bar’s armchairs would do nicely afterwards.

In the Lumina Guide

Lumina Guide 2027

At Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel I would book a high-floor Panoramic: Zurich beyond the windows, at least 30 m² to come home to.

147 guests said so on Google, from 3 January 2026 to 18 October 2026. Reviews of stays and visits from January 2026; earlier accounts remain in the original receipts. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Zurich: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 19 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in Zurich:

Price: for 2, the night of 21 November 2026, from 198 CHF on Google Hotels on 19 October 2026.

What a night costs, period by period

For a few days after New Year I would consider 2–8 January 2027, with individual nights from CHF 205 to CHF 227. From 24 May to 8 July 2027 the range rises to CHF 274–590.

Minima for individual nights searched separately for 2 adults; room, meals and taxes unspecified. 2 November 2026 reaches CHF 507, while 2 March 2027 CHF 1,097 and 15 June 2027 CHF 581. For 16–23 November 2026 booked together, the lowest seller shows CHF 230 a night and the official-site listing on Google CHF 242 a night.

Renaissance Zurich Tower or Zurich Marriott

I would choose Renaissance for Zurich West and a high-floor Panoramic room. At Marriott I would go for Limmat walks and a Thai dinner at White Elephant.

Sky Lounge library

I would check lounge access before booking

Sky Lounge entry requires access included with the room or eligible Bonvoy status; I would compare this when choosing a rate.1

The gym overlooking Zurich

A workout above Zurich

The 15th-floor gym and sauna are included for guests; the gym opens 24 hours.12

Tables at Atelier Five

Fondue has its season

From October to February I would save an evening for Atelier Five’s fondue; gondola dining needs booking.1

Armchairs at Lucid Bar

A Thursday at Lucid

The last Thursday of the month brings a DJ and afterwork drinks; the cocktail workshop needs its own booking.1

Good to know before you book

  • Sky Lounge access requires an eligible room or Bonvoy status; a room key alone does not establish entry.1

  • Comfort rooms with 2 double beds sleep a maximum of 2. For 4, choose a Family Room or an appropriately sized suite.12

  • A pet costs CHF 35 a night and parking CHF 29 a day; I would add these before choosing a rate.1

  • Atelier Five serves fondue from October to February and Thai food from March to September; it closes on Sundays and Mondays.1

Before booking

What kind of hotel is Renaissance Zurich Tower?

A 5-star hotel at Turbinenstrasse 20 in Zurich West, with 252 rooms and 48 suites. All 300 were renovated in 2025 and measure at least 30 m². Hardbrücke is the nearby railway station.1234

How much does a night at Renaissance Zurich Tower cost?

Google Hotels, read on 19 October 2026 for 2 adults, shows CHF 289 for 16 November 2026, CHF 320 for 14 December 2026 and CHF 227 for 12 January 2027. These are minima for individual nights searched separately, with no room, meal or tax details specified. For several nights I would price the complete stay.1

Which room would I choose?

For 2 I would start with a 30 m² Comfort room; for views, a higher-floor Panoramic. Junior Suite Signature rooms have 43 m², Renaissance Suites 61 m² and Grand Suites 89 m². The 136 m² Presidential Suite is on the 15th floor, with a bedroom, living space and 1.5 bathrooms. Yellow curtains, geometric patterns and large windows run through the photographs; I would enjoy looking for the Dada-inspired details.1234567

Which rooms can accommodate a family?

The 30 m² Family Room has 2 double beds and a sofa bed for up to 4 guests. The 89 m² Grand Suite and 136 m² Presidential also sleep 4. Comfort rooms with 2 double beds are listed for a maximum of 2, so I would check the occupancy as carefully as the bed arrangement. Cots and connecting rooms depend on category and availability.12345

What are the wellness facilities like, and can outside guests use them?

On the 15th floor there is a sauna beside the gym, with views over Zurich. They are a privilege of staying here: hotel guests use them free of charge, towels included, and the gym is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. For a day of thermal baths, also open to people staying elsewhere, the hotel itself points to Thermal Bath & Spa Zürich, in the vaults of the old Hürlimann brewery with its rooftop thermal pool, 5.9 km away.1

Who can use the Sky Lounge?

The 15th-floor Sky Lounge opens daily from 6.30am to 11pm, serving snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer and wine. Access comes with a lounge-access room or Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador status; those members may bring 1 guest staying in the same room. I would confirm the entitlement in the rate before heading upstairs with my key.1

Where and when is breakfast served?

Equinox breakfast starts at 6.30am and ends at 10.30am on weekdays or 11am at weekends. Whether it is included depends on the booked rate; Sky Lounge entry follows the room or Bonvoy-status conditions.12

What do Equinox and Atelier Five serve?

Equinox serves international food for lunch and dinner. Atelier Five changes with the season: Thai cooking from March to September and Swiss fondue from October to February, Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm–9.30pm. For an intimate dinner I would book one of the stationary terrace gondolas, each seating up to 6.12

When would I stop at Lucid Bar?

It opens daily from 11am to midnight. The last Thursday of the month brings a DJ afterwork event; the cocktail workshop can be booked separately. On other days I would settle into one of the bar’s armchairs for a drink.1

Can I bring a dog?

Up to 2 pets may stay in a room, each weighing no more than 10 kg. The fee is CHF 35 per pet per night, with a stated maximum of CHF 150 per stay.1

How much does parking cost?

On-site parking costs CHF 4 an hour or CHF 29 a day, and an electric-car charging station is available. I would use Hardbrücke for rail arrivals; drivers should allow for parking in the stay budget.1

How do I get there from Zurich Airport?

Zurich Airport is 11.2 km away. The hotel does not run its own shuttle; there is an on-request GLM Limousinen transfer at CHF 170 one way. Hardbrücke station is about 5 minutes on foot.1

When are check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 3pm, check-out is by noon and the minimum check-in age is 18. I would arrange early arrival or luggage storage individually.1

Is it open all year?

Yes, it is a city hotel with no season: the Google Hotels calendar has nights on sale in every month from October 2026 to September 2027, Christmas and New Year’s Eve included.1

Is there New Year’s Eve dining?

The festive programme offers New Year’s Eve set menus at Equinox and Atelier Five, as well as terrace-gondola dining. For 31 December 2026 I would confirm the menu, price and reservation alongside the room.1

Can the hotel host a wedding or event?

Yes. The 351 m² Helvetia AB room is listed for 300 in theatre seating, 220 at a reception or 250 for a banquet. I would start with the banquet arrangement for a wedding. Atelier Five hosts private dinners for up to 25; costs require a quotation.12

What do guests say?

On Google it has 4.3 out of 5 from 2,134 ratings. Guests writing in 2026 keep coming back to the welcome, the restaurant service, the spacious rooms and the views; those who want the old town’s streets right outside find it far. Some report housekeeping problems or requests handled badly.12

Is there an offer for a longer stay?

Stay Longer On Us offers a saving of 10% or more for stays of at least 3 nights. The published stay window is 3 December 2025–3 December 2026; I would compare the complete rate for the chosen dates.1

Does the hotel have a swimming pool or a spa centre?

There is no swimming pool, hot tub or spa centre. For wellness, guests have the 15th-floor sauna and gym, free of charge with towels included.12
