Q: Is breakfast included?

Not in the entry rate, so ask if yours has it. At Louiza9 it costs C$49 per person, and Fairmont Gold10 rooms come with a daily breakfast in the lounge.

Chateau Lake Louise prices for 2 come to C$926 on Thursday 10 December 2026 at the hotel’s own rate, C$50 resort fee in, tax out: C$1,040 on the bill. April is the low stretch. On Tuesday 1 June 2027 the floor more than doubles.

Chateau Lake Louise night by night, November 2026 to September 2027

From November to May the lowest seller’s median night¹ moves between C$612 in April and C$936 in January. Then Monday 31 May 2027 stands at C$868, Tuesday 1 June at C$1,878, and the median stays at C$1,890 to C$2,029 until Sunday 26 September, the last night with a price. September is the dearest month of all. Across the year Tuesdays are cheapest, at a median of C$823, and Fridays dearest, at C$1,103.

The hotel’s holiday programme⁸ runs from 18 December 2026 to 4 January 2027. Friday 18 December costs C$1,316. Of the 14 nights from 19 December to 1 January, 12 have no price, and the 2 that do, Friday 25 and Wednesday 30 December, stand at C$2,216: ask which room that buys. Saturday 2 to Tuesday 5 January hold at C$1,209 to C$1,275, then Wednesday 6 January drops to C$576.

Take Thursday 10 December 2026. The hotel² sells its Fairmont King at C$926, Expedia the same room at C$937, Booking.com a night at C$919. The hotel, Booking.com and Agoda all end at C$1,040 with taxes and fees, Trip.com at C$1,041: the first figure differs only by how much of the local charges each one prints up front. The real difference is the day you can walk away. Free cancellation ends on 7 December at Trip.com, 6 December at Booking.com, 5 December at Agoda and 10 November at Expedia, so ask the hotel for the date on its own rate. The C$404 you may see for that night is one seller’s line, and the same seller’s row opens at C$784.

That night’s bill, from Booking.com’s C$919: C$869 of room plus the C$50 fee³. The 2% Tourism Improvement Fee¹¹ adds C$18, which makes the C$937 Expedia and Agoda print. GST and the Alberta levy¹² add C$103. Total C$1,040, before parking and the park pass.

Guests¹⁵ do this sum too. One in April 2026 found the room too small at over $800; one in July 2026 listed $45 a day for self-parking and $50 for the fee on top of the room; one in August 2026 paid $6,000 for 2 nights in a Lakeview Junior Suite, booked 8 months ahead.

5 things to settle before paying

Compare the last line only
Ask each seller for the total with taxes and fees, then set those side by side and ignore the headline figure.
Have the room named
Before you pay a low figure, ask for the room and the bed by name. Fairmont Rooms overlook the grounds⁷, so a lake view has to be written into the category.
Read the date on your rate
The window widens in summer: for Monday 21 June 2027 the hotel’s free cancellation ends on 22 May. Book the date you can live with, and screenshot it.
Ask who collects it
The hotel adds the fee to your room folio⁴ each day. If you prepay a seller, ask in writing whether your total already covers it, so it is not charged twice at the desk.
Ask what is taken and when
Each rate has its own sales conditions⁵. Ask what is charged at booking and what is held on your card at check-in.

Park pass	Every visitor to Banff National Park needs one: C$12.25 an adult a day in 2026, C$24.50 for a family or group, free to 17. It is separate from the bill.
Parking	A partly covered parkade with plug-ins, connected to the hotel, for overnight guests.
Moraine Lake	Closed to personal vehicles. The Parks Canada shuttle cost C$12.75 an adult in 2026 plus C$3.50 to reserve online, and the park pass is extra.
From the airport	Pursuit runs shuttles from Calgary. Reserve at least 1 hour ahead; schedules and fares change.

The Fairmont Room, and the upgrade worth pricing

The entry category is the Fairmont Room⁷: 21 m² in the main building, with 1 king, 1 queen or 2 queens, overlooking the grounds. It sleeps 2, and the 2-queen version³ sleeps 4. On Thursday 10 December 2026 the hotel’s Deluxe Mount Temple King, 41 m² for up to 3, costs C$10 more² than the Fairmont King; on Tuesday 17 November the gap is C$80, so ask on your night. In high summer the entry room thins out: on Monday 21 June 2027 the hotel’s cheapest is a Fairmont Lakeview King, at C$2,456.
