Jack Gauer’s room

The name comes from Jack Gauer¹, who founded the place, and the schnitzel was his favourite dish². Gault Millau has named it the best in Switzerland 3 times.

The plate today¹¹: an airy schnitzel, lemon in a cloth bag, cranberries and a lukewarm potato and cucumber salad dressed with bouillon in place of mayonnaise.

The news of 2026 is the 4-course menu from Andreas Haseloh and Stephan Koltes, which GaultMillau says lifts the level of the house¹¹. The guide gives Jack’s 14 points¹.
