Q: Do children change the price?

Under the current offer9, no: ages 0 to 17 stay free with one paying adult in the room, with a check-out by 21 December 2026 and a booking by 30 November. It leaves out Presidential Suites and travel-agent rates.

Q: Is there anything to pay outside the resort?

Foreign visitors to Quintana Roo owe VISITAX11, paid online, with no separate rate for children. It goes to the state, so it appears on no hotel bill.

Moon Palace Cancun prices buy nearly the whole holiday: on Wednesday 18 August 2027 the resort’s own Garden View costs $402 a night for 2 adults with tax, meals, drinks and tips in. A reseller that names no room shows $319 that night.

Moon Palace Cancun night by night, November 2026 to September 2027

August has the lowest median night, $332¹. September follows at $378 and April at $418; March stands at $494 and January, the dearest, at $571. The day of the week hardly counts: Monday’s median is $434 and Thursday’s $461. From Tuesday 10 to Tuesday 17 August every night is $326 or $332.

The dear stretches are the holidays. The nights of 20 to 23 December cost $576 to $588, and 2 January $616. Around Easter Sunday, 28 March 2027¹², the 5 nights to 1 April cost $603 to $626. 41 nights have no price at all, among them 21 to 27 November, 24 to 31 December, 11 to 17 February and 21 to 27 March, so ask the resort directly for those.

One night, every seller: Saturday 6 March 2027, 2 adults. Super.com shows $465², trivago DEALS $469 and Stayforlong $500, all with no room named. The resort shows $564, Agoda the same, Expedia.mx and Hotels.com $565. The resort and Expedia.mx name the room, a Superior Deluxe Garden View, and neither gives free cancellation at that figure. For $623 the resort lets you cancel free until 2 March; Expedia.mx asks $628 until 3 March. On Tuesday 17 November it goes the same way: Super.com $458, the resort $572, or $599 with free cancellation until 13 November. What differs beyond the figure is the way in: third-party bookings leave out transport⁴, and the resort lists free airport transfers⁸ among its direct-booking benefits.

Here is 6 March as a bill, Garden View for 2 adults from the resort: $564, or $282 each. Those figures are already with tax⁴ and with gratuities⁵, and they cover unlimited food and drink⁵ in the restaurants and bars and from room service. A view of the sea or the golf course costs $619 that night. Spa, golf and tours are the part you can still add.

Resort Credit is where guests start doing sums. Since July 2026¹³ at least 9 have written about it, most of them unhappy, and 2 mention the 16% fee on what it pays for. Guests also put a figure on the sales pitch that comes with it, anything from a $299 package to a $130,000 membership.

5 things to settle before paying

Ask if your rate is flexible or non-refundable
A low third-party figure may carry stricter rules than the resort’s own flexible plan. Get the last free cancellation date in writing.
Get the airport transfer on the confirmation
On a direct booking, ask for it to be written in. On a third-party booking, price a car or shuttle before you compare totals.
Give every child’s age when you book
Proof of age is asked at check-in, and a child who is 18 by then pays the difference at the desk. For nights in 2027, ask if a free rate still applies: Expedia.mx labels one for August.
Ask what your Resort Credit can pay for
Have the list before you plan around it, and keep cash or a card for the service fee, which credit cannot cover.
Ask what is collected at check-in
Ask whether Cancún’s environmental sanitation tax is collected on arrival, as Hyatt Ziva Cancun’s 85.40 pesos a room a night are, and say no once and clearly to any sales presentation you do not want.
