The lowest seller’s median night¹ is ₹97,636 in November, ₹110,448 in December and ₹117,365 in January. February is the dearest month, at ₹203,816, then March falls to ₹108,560, April to ₹92,064 and May to ₹73,452. June is the cheapest, at ₹62,156, with July at ₹79,824 and August and September near ₹71,700.

Christmas and New Year make a step of their own. Friday 25 December 2026 stands at ₹200,008, Thursday 31 December at ₹220,656, and Saturday 2 January 2027 is back to ₹184,424. A lone night far above that can be a suite price. On Thursday 24 December the cheapest room any seller names is a Royal Suite at ₹567,310², and klook’s ₹516,585 with taxes names none. On Wednesday 13 January it is a Grand Suite, at ₹612,287. On any lone night above ₹300,000, get a room named before you trust the figure.

Take Saturday 19 June 2027. Booking.com² stands at ₹62,658, Hotels.com at ₹62,627 and Agoda at ₹62,540, and Expedia’s ₹62,629 names the Palace Room Garden View. The real difference is the day you can walk away: Expedia’s free cancellation ends on 20 May, and Booking.com and Agoda each set their own date, so read it on the rate. Traveluro is lower, with no room and no cancellation date. In winter the pattern repeats: on Tuesday 17 November 2026 Booking.com and Agoda hold at ₹106,200 and Traveluro shows ₹90,641, so the lowest-seller figures on this page are a floor, with the big names above them.

That June night worked through: Booking.com’s room rate of ₹53,100, plus 18% GST³ of ₹9,558, makes ₹62,658. Add breakfast for 2 at ₹2,360 with GST and the bill is ₹65,018. New Year’s Eve changes the sum: the compulsory dinner⁹ for 2 comes to ₹56,000 before tax, so ask whether the night’s ₹220,656 already holds it.

5 things to settle before paying

The hotel’s own site is missing from these sellers. Open its room-only and member rates⁴ for your dates and compare the total with GST.
Get the room in writing
With a seller that names no room, ask for the category and the view. Palace Rooms face the garden or a courtyard⁶, so have the booking say which.
Ask if the dinner is in your total
For 24 or 31 December, ask whether the dinner is already in the price or billed at the desk. Taj’s own terms warn of supplements on festive dates⁵ as well.
Know what a missed arrival costs
On Taj’s offer terms the hotel may charge the room and taxes for the whole stay⁵ to the card you booked with.
Pack the right papers
Foreign guests need a passport with visa⁹, Indian guests a government ID, and everyone a credit card at the desk.
