November Saturdays

Dear Saturdays, and weeknights with skiing thrown in

The hotel sells all year. In November, after the first week, Monday to Thursday nights start on Google¹ at CHF 749 to CHF 864, while Saturdays climb as high as CHF 5,037: on one of them the hotel sells only a suite³, a sign the rooms have gone. December climbs to CHF 1,665 before Christmas; from Christmas into early January, and for most of February, a single night has no price.

In January weeknights mostly start between CHF 855 and CHF 1,350, Saturdays between CHF 1,401 and CHF 1,638; March’s typical night is CHF 936. April is the low month, with a typical night of CHF 801, yet one Wednesday late that month stands alone at CHF 3,510: ask which room it buys. July costs more than November, from CHF 891 to CHF 1,386.

The entry room comes at 3 rates³, all with breakfast. On 25 November the Alpine Deluxe Room costs CHF 783 on Prepay and Save, charged at once and never refunded, or CHF 870 on the flexible rate. On 19 January the Furka View Deluxe Room costs CHF 1,143 prepaid and CHF 1,243 on the Midweek Ski Escape⁴, which cancels like the flexible rate and puts 2 ski passes inside for CHF 100 more than the prepaid rate. On the hotel’s own line on Google that night’s flexible rate costs CHF 1,270, for a room Google calls only ‘Double Room’: ask the hotel whether it is the same Furka View.

On 19 January on Google² none of the 21 sellers goes below the hotel; on 25 November its CHF 783 sits between the CHF 749 of Vio.com, goseek.com, Etrip.net and dealbase.com and the CHF 793 of Hotels.com. On Google those sellers show only a price, and their own sites name the room; the hotel promises breakfast to direct bookings⁵, so ask any other seller whether it comes with theirs.

One guest in January 2026, paying close to CHF 2,000 a night⁷, found the third bed in a Deluxe Suite made for a child: 3 men had asked for it, and their feet stuck out.

It falls only on set midweek dates, and blackout dates may apply, so ask whether yours qualifies.
Plan on using them
Cancel the stay free, but passes already issued are not refunded, exchanged or credited.
Count the adults
The entry room takes 2 at most. For 3 adults ask for a suite, and ask what size the extra bed is.
Ask a seller about breakfast
Also ask for the room’s name and the last free day: on Google a reseller’s figure comes without either, and its own site has them.
Write down noon, 3 days out
After that hour the whole stay is charged, on the flexible rate and the ski rate alike.

The conditions, line by line

Prepay and Save	Charged in full at booking. Cancelling, changing or not arriving costs the whole stay.
Flexible rate	Free until noon, 3 days before arrival, then the whole stay. A credit card holds it.
Midweek Ski Escape	The same deadline as the flexible rate. A credit card guarantees the first night.
Check-in and check-out	From 3pm, and by noon. Early and late on availability.

Which seller was cheapest, and is it the same room?

On 25 November Vio.com, goseek.com, Etrip.net and dealbase.com, at CHF 749: on Google they show only a price, and their own sites name the room. On 19 January no one went below the hotel’s CHF 1,143.

When is the hotel closed?

It sells nights all year. Dates with no single-night price are 24 December to 2 January, 6 to 27 February and 10 to 15 August, plus a few nights in December and March, so try a longer stay.
