The choice, in short
Why choose Ayada
You want a Turkish bath and a Vichy shower on a Maldivian island, with every price in front of you before you fly.
The price listWhen to look elsewhere
You want to sit in the heat together: the steam rooms and saunas are separate for women and men, and the facilities are for guests aged 16 and over.
Other Maldives spasA Turkish bath among the palms, and a menu that runs to 5 days
The resort gives the spa 3,500 m²; the treatment menu shows it from the air.
AySpa is laid out as a compound. The 2026 treatment menu carries an aerial photograph on its third page: pavilions set out symmetrically round a courtyard with 2 pools, the palms closing in on every side. The resort counts 8 treatment villas, some with hydrotherapy baths, and gives each a steam shower, a bathroom of its own, a waterfall shower and a sunken bath in an outdoor courtyard. The floors are terrazzo, with marble and timber.
The hammam is the spa’s own claim to difference: the resort’s all-inclusive page calls it the only Turkish hammam in the Maldives. 2 rituals are built on it. The Indulgence Hammam Ritual lasts 60 minutes and costs $150: a full-body scrub with a kese mitt, a warm foam massage, a body mask, a hair cleanse and a scalp massage. The Sultan’s Hammam doubles the time for $240 and adds a spell of heat beforehand, an ESPA mini facial and a traditional Ottoman sherbet. A 30-minute kese scrub in the hammam, listed among the enhancements, is $90.
The resort calls its Vichy shower room the country’s first. The Vichy rain shower appears in 3 treatments (our count). The Balancing Ritual puts a full-body exfoliation under it, then a massage and a facial: 120 minutes, $300. Tropical Aroma Rain follows the same exfoliation with a scalp and body massage in 90 minutes for $230, and a 30-minute Vichy shower with a body scrub is $90. 2 journeys borrow from the island instead. Essence of Maldives is 120 minutes of coconut: a coconut scrub, a massage with local coconut oil, a scalp massage and coconut water to drink, for $300. AySpa Ocean Heaven, at 180 minutes and $345, is the longest single visit on the list, with a foam bath of juniper berry and grapefruit, a Balinese massage and an ESPA facial.
The plain massages are priced almost as one. Of the 10 on the list, 8 cost $135 for 60 minutes and $215 for 90 (our count): aromatherapy, Balinese, foot reflexology, hot stone, Japanese shiatsu, Swedish, traditional Thai and deep tissue. The Four Hand Massage, with 2 therapists, is $199 or $250, and the Deep Muscle Massage comes only in 90 minutes, at $240. 3 of the facials carry the ESPA name, each 60 minutes for $165 and one of them for men; the Age-Defying Facial runs 90 minutes at $242. The largest item is the ESPA Detox programme, 5 days of scrubs, wraps, massage, a facial and a hammam ritual, at $800.
Of the Google reviews we hold, 9 written between August 2025 and September 2026 mention the spa or its massages, and none of them complains of it (our count). One guest in August 2025 wrote that a therapist’s massage alone was worth the journey to Ayada; guests in November 2025 and September 2026 also thanked their therapists, and one in April 2026 put it in 3 words: ‘First class spa.’ An older account, from March 2018, describes the visit itself: an hour in the spa before the appointment with fresh drinks, then a place by the reflecting pools afterwards, with water and coconut ice cream brought over. A guest in August 2023 wrote that spa staff were taking bookings at Zero Degree at lunchtime at 20% off; the pages read in October 2026 carry no such offer.
6 things to settle before and after the treatment
- Open both files
The spa’s page links 2 documents: a 21-page treatment menu that describes each treatment and prints no prices, and a single-sheet price list. They do not always agree: Jet Lag Recovery is 120 minutes in the menu and 90 minutes, at $210, on the price list.
- Say what your skin and body are doing
The menu asks to be told of medical conditions, allergies, injuries or pregnancy at the time of booking, so that a treatment can be matched to you. For skin that has had too much sun there is the Sun Soother Ritual, 120 minutes at $300.
- Arrive early for the facilities
The spa recommends coming up to 1 hour ahead for the consultation and the heat rooms. Towels, robes and slippers are provided.
- Put the phone away
Mobile phones and cameras are not to be used within the spa.
- Stay for the plunge pools
The relaxation area has heated and cold plunge pools, with teas and healthy juices to drink; the spa’s page says the visit does not end with the treatment.
- Give 3 hours’ notice
The menu asks for at least 3 hours’ warning to cancel or move an appointment. It names no fee.

Which booking brings a treatment with it

A stay booked on the resort’s own site comes with a $50 spa credit for each adult, given once per stay, and with bicycles for the island’s paths. The Diamond all-inclusive plan goes further and includes a 60-minute treatment at AySpa; its page does not say which ones qualify, so ask before you choose the plan for that reason.

Ayada spa: your questions
What is the spa at Ayada Maldives called, and when is it open?
It is called AySpa. The treatment menu gives treatments daily between 9am and 9pm.
How much does a massage cost at Ayada?
Most are $135 for 60 minutes. With the service charge and the tax that becomes about $171 if both percentages are taken on the list price, or about $174 if the tax is also charged on the service: our arithmetic, since the list does not say which.
Is the spa included in the all-inclusive plan?
One treatment is, on the Diamond plan: the All Inclusive page gives its guests a 60-minute treatment at AySpa. Booking direct brings a $50 spa credit per adult, once per stay.
Can children use the spa?
Under-16s cannot use the plunge pools, steam rooms or saunas. From 12 they can book selected nail treatments, and the price list has a child’s haircut at $20.
Can a couple have a treatment together?
Yes. The spa’s page describes the treatment suites as suited to sharing, and the menu has 2 journeys written for 2: Honeymoon Dream and The Romance Package. The price list gives them one figure each, $330 and $314, without saying whether it covers one guest or both.
Is there anything for pregnancy?
3 treatments. The menu offers a maternity massage from 3 months of pregnancy, a prenatal treatment adapted to the stage you are at, and a postnatal ritual with a scrub and a massage.
Do I need to book ahead?
The menu recommends it, to be sure of the hour you want, and the spa has 8 treatment villas.
