What the spa has, what it charges and who may use which part of it, from the hotel’s pages on 11 October 2026.
The Spa at Hotel Bel-Air has 7 treatment rooms, a nail suite, a relaxation lounge, a beverage station with teas, flavoured water and snacks, a steam room for men and one for women, and the Salon by Joseph for hair. The hotel makes much of the details, heated massage tables, warm towels and music chosen for each guest. Treatments run from 9am to 7pm, weekends included.
The room to know about is the Enclave: 2 treatment beds, a marble soaking tub and a shaded patio with chairs. The membership sheet describes what reads as the same room, a private suite of more than 570 sq ft with a shower, a bathtub and a patio with a waterfall, and counts it among the 7 treatment rooms, where the spa’s page lists the Enclave beside them. The Bel-Air Couple’s Retreat is made for it: an aromatic bath together, then a massage side by side by candlelight, 90 minutes for $950.
The skincare is Valmont’s, from Switzerland. Its 2 rituals, Hydration of Bisses and Luminosity of Ice, cost $395 for 60 minutes or $495 for 90. Above them sit the Oxylight facial, 90 minutes of LED, oxygen, microcurrent, resurfacing and ultrasound for $850, and Vitality of the Stars, which the hotel says is exclusive to this spa: collagen masks for the face, eyes, neck and décolleté, LED and microcurrent, then a hand and foot treatment, 90 minutes for $1,050.
The Bel-Air Signature Massage is Swedish, deep tissue or a mixture of the 2, at $275 for 60 minutes and $375 for 90. Hot stones are $325 and $425; the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience, the treatment of the month when these pages were read, is $335 and $435; 30 minutes of reflexology are $210. The online booking page adds a pregnancy massage at $295 and $395. For the body there are a 45-minute skin polish at $280 and Detox and Revive, 90 minutes with grapefruit, rosemary and juniper, at $485.
Who may use what is the part to read twice. No page read says in so many words that outside clients are welcome, as the sister hotel’s brochure does, but the signs point that way: treatments are sold on a public booking site, the hotel’s own questions and answers speak of «spa guests» as distinct from hotel guests, and there is a membership for people who are not staying. If you have no room, confirm when you reserve. The pool, an oval of 23 by 10 metres heated to 82°F, is reserved for hotel guests from 8am to 6pm. The gym is for hotel guests and spa members: open 24 hours by the spa’s page, while the membership sheet gives members 5am to 11pm. Membership is how a local gets the pool: the hotel’s sample of benefits gives $5,200 a year for one person and $10,200 for a couple, with the pool from Monday to Thursday, the spa’s facilities and the gym during spa hours, 10% off treatments and daytime valet parking.
A guest who stays often had the 90-minute aromatherapy treatment in February 2026, called it spectacular and singled out the spa attendants for their attention. Guests in March 2026 went to the spa every day of their stay. In September 2025 a guest wrote that the massage sent her husband to sleep; in March 2025 another thought $85 too much for adding CBD oil to a massage.

The pool comes with the room

A night at the hotel opens what a treatment leaves shut: the oval pool, and the gym at any hour. The hotel guide has the rooms, prices on dated nights and what guests write.
The hotel, rooms and guest reviewsThe sister spa on Sunset, or a spa that lends you its pool?
3 hotel spas in Beverly Hills, each from its own page on 11 October 2026.
The Bel-Air’s sister, The Beverly Hills Hotel, has a spa of its own with shorter hours, 10am to 6pm, and a 60-minute signature massage listed at $300 «including 20% service charge», where the Bel-Air’s $275 is before its gratuity. That hotel’s brochure also speaks of a 20% gratuity added on the final bill without saying whether it is the same 20%, so the 2 totals are not set against each other here.
Neither Dorchester hotel lets a spa client into its pool. The Beverly Wilshire does, during the day, for anyone who books a treatment of 60 minutes or more, and its spa has a eucalyptus steam room, an ice fountain and a shower with 3 settings. The Peninsula Beverly Hills keeps the longest hours of the 4 on Fridays and Saturdays, 9am to 9pm.

Hotel Bel-Air spa: your questions
Can I use the Hotel Bel-Air spa without staying at the hotel?
For treatments, everything read points to yes, though no page says so in as many words: the spa’s page takes reservations daily, the booking site is public, and the hotel’s answers speak of «spa guests» apart from hotel guests. What is kept back is the pool, for hotel guests, and the gym, for hotel guests and members. Without a room, confirm when you reserve.
How much is a massage at Hotel Bel-Air?
From $275 for the 60-minute Signature on the treatment menu, or $210 for half an hour of reflexology.
Does a spa treatment include the pool?
No. The hotel’s answer is that the pool is for hotel guests only; by the membership sheet, spa members have it from Monday to Thursday.
Is there a couples’ treatment?
Yes, the Bel-Air Couple’s Retreat, in the private Enclave. It is on the menu under Bel-Air retreats.
Can a teenager have a treatment?
From 12, yes, within limits: an approved massage, facial, manicure or pedicure, with a Minor Consent Form signed by a parent. The steam rooms and lounges stay closed to under-18s.
Is gratuity included in the prices?
No. The booking terms apply 20% on departure, automatically, and call it discretionary.
What is the spa’s cancellation policy?
At least 24 hours’ notice, on the booking terms.
Which skincare does the spa use?
Valmont, for facials, some body treatments and the most expensive manicure and pedicure on the list.
