The Restaurant at Hotel Bel-Air has carried that name since 31 March 2023, when its 11-year partnership with Wolfgang Puck ended. It serves every day, to anyone who books, from breakfast at 7am to dinner until 10pm, and dinner mains run from $38 to $345.

You want an unhurried meal in the green of Stone Canyon, with the swans below the alcoves, whether you stay at the hotel or not.
The billYou are after Wolfgang Puck’s cooking or a light bill: Puck is at Spago, 10 minutes away by car, and pasta here starts at $47.
Other tablesFor 11 years the restaurant bore Wolfgang Puck’s name. On 31 March 2023 the partnership ended by mutual agreement, and the room became the hotel’s own restaurant.
The news came in January 2023, on Eater LA and in Los Angeles Magazine: Puck was leaving after 11 years, and the Dorchester Collection kept the room, about 170 seats across the dining room, terrace and alcoves. The new name is as plain as it gets, and in 2026 many portals have still not caught up: Expedia and Booking.com still mention a “Wolfgang Puck” restaurant.
The cooking today is Californian with a Mediterranean accent (the restaurant’s page), but some dishes are older than the latest change of name. The tortilla soup has been on the menu since 1980 and costs $28 at lunch; the chopped salad named after Nancy Reagan returns on the brunch menu, at $46 (lunch, brunch).
The setting counts as much as the plate: you eat in the dining room, on the terrace under the pergola or in one of the 5 alcoves above Swan Lake, which Forbes Travel Guide suggests asking for. From the lakeside tables you watch the hotel’s swans go by.
We read the restaurant on 4 October 2026 from its menus, its official page and its scores: 4.6 out of 5 on Google from 368 reviews, 4.6 on OpenTable from 878, though the newest review shown dates from January 2022; 4.1 on Tripadvisor from 287, where the listing still carries The Living Room’s name, and 3.7 on Yelp from 456. For value OpenTable gives 3.3 and Tripadvisor 3.4.
The flight over the pink roofs to the oval pool, the restaurant terrace under its pergola at midday, a swan on Swan Lake, a salad by the pool and the Bell Suite’s living room with its fireplace.
