ICEHOTEL prices per night: a warm room and a room of ice, month by month

Google Hotels’ one-night calendar for 2 adults, read on 11 October 2026, held a price for 329 of the 385 nights from 12 October 2026 to 31 October 2027; the last priced night was 6 September 2027. A calendar price is the lowest figure Google showed for that night among all sellers. Google does not say which room it is, cold or warm, whether breakfast is in it, or whether taxes are. Set beside the hotel’s own booking engine, which names every room, it matches a warm room nearly every time: on 20 of the 23 nights for which we hold both, Google’s figure stood within 4% of the least expensive warm room, and on the 21 of them for which we also hold a cold price, between 25% and 78% below the least expensive room of ice. That count is ours, and the 2 were not read on the same day: Google on 11 October, the engine on 8 October for 20 of the nights and on 11 October for 3. On the other 3 nights, 11, 12 and 24 December 2026, Google stood 6% under, 32% under and 6% over the warm room the engine had listed 3 days earlier.

Until the end of November the calendar is low: a median night of about 1,830 kronor in what remained of October and of 1,922 in November. Sunday nights were the lowest, at 1,313 kronor for 18 October, 1,255 for 22 November and 1,261 for 29 November. On the engine a Kaamos hotel room for 2 was 1,795 kronor for 20 October and 1,895 for 14 November. The cold room of that season is the Art Suite 365, in the permanent ice building: 3,595 kronor for 20 October and 4,620 for 14 November. A few autumn nights stood well above the rest in the calendar, 4,066 kronor for 4 November and 3,279 for 24 and 25 November among them.

December changes the scale. From 1 to 10 December Google showed between 3,203 and 3,960 kronor, and a Kaamos room was 3,300 on the engine for 2 December and for the 10th. On the engine read on 8 October, the winter hotel’s rooms were on sale from the night of 11 December 2026 to that of 10 April 2027, and across those 4 months the calendar’s median was 4,070 kronor. Friday and Saturday nights in February and March mostly stood between 5,033 and 5,148, and January weekdays went as low as 3,210, for 18 January. On the nights we could compare, those are the level of a warm room. For 13 February the engine asked 5,170 kronor for a Kaamos room and 10,095 for an Ice Room; 10,795 for an Art Suite 365, 12,095 for an Art Suite of the winter hotel, and from 16,095 to 17,995 for the 3 kinds of Deluxe Suite, the ones with a heated bathroom.

The calendar’s highest night, 9,545 kronor for 15 March 2027, is the one night we found where the low figure sat at the level of a cold room. In the single reading we made of the engine for that night, on 11 October, it listed no warm room; the least expensive room it listed was an Art Suite 365 at 10,010 kronor, 465 above Google’s figure, with the winter Art Suites from 11,310. The next highest nights were 6,994 kronor for 5 February and 6,012 for 17 March. For New Year’s Eve the calendar had no price; on 8 October the engine asked 14,595 kronor for an Ice Room and 7,590 for a Kaamos Superior.

The ice gets cheaper as the season ends. For 3 April 2027 an Ice Room was 4,920 kronor, less than half its February price, and a Kaamos room 2,300; the same Ice Room price held for 10 April, the last night the winter hotel was on sale. After that the only ice is ICEHOTEL 365: an Art Suite 365 was 3,595 kronor for 15 May and 3,600 for 19 June and 17 July, against 1,900, 2,280 and 2,335 for a Kaamos room. From 11 April to 6 September Google’s calendar ran from 1,248 kronor, for 23 May, to 4,849, for 24 August, with monthly medians between about 2,160 and 2,530; on 23 May the engine’s Kaamos room was 1,295.

Why Google sits a little under the hotel shows on the one night whose sellers its card listed, 12 October 2026. The lowest figure, 2,694 kronor, came from 3 resellers: Vio.com, goseek.com and Etrip.net. Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia and Agoda stood at 3,215, which Hotels.com’s card names as a «Cabin (Arctic)», a warm room; the parameters of Booking.com’s link give that amount as a total with 344.50 of tax, 12% of the rest by our arithmetic. The link Google marks as the hotel’s own showed 3,595 with a tax of 0.00. On the engine that amount is an Art Suite 365, a cold room, while the same engine sold a warm Arctic Chalet at 2,795 kronor for that night. The engine prints one amount per room, with no tax line and no fee, and no page we read states a tax rate.

Guests’ own sums show the same gap. One, in June 2025, wrote that a night for 2 in the Icehotel came to 9,835 kronor. Another, in May 2025, paid under €80 for a warm room with breakfast and the visit to the ice. A third, in March 2026, judged the value poor at the price of a deluxe suite, with a heated room at €400 a night and the ice room to be given back at 8.30am when the warm one was ready only at 3pm. A guest in January 2026 noted that entry to the ice, about €35 a person, is included for hotel guests.

Read across, the calendar follows the warm room and stays a little under it. Read down, a night on ice costs roughly twice the warm night on every row but the last, and in kronor the gap is widest in winter: 5,625 between the 2 rooms for 16 January and 4,925 for 19 December and 13 February, against 1,800 for 20 October.
