Freshly baked bread with reindeer meat, oatmeal topped with cloudberries, a warm croissant. By the hotel’s booking terms, as Lumina’s hotel page read them on 8 October 2026, it is included with every room, cold or warm.
The ICEHOTEL Restaurant prints its menu and prices in Swedish kronor: a dinner of 3 courses at 595, the ice menu at 1,495 and lunch at 195. The dinner prices are from the summer 2026 card, read on 11 October 2026 before any winter card was posted.
Source checked 11 October 2026: ICEHOTEL: dinner at the ICEHOTEL Restaurant

A hot lunch between activities, or reindeer and Arctic char in the warm after a day on the ice.
The ice menuLast orders are at 8.30pm, 3 guests in 2026 found dinner dear, the ice menu has no vegan version, and nothing can be paid in cash.
Other Lapland tablesThe dinner card the hotel posts as its summer menu for 2026, with every price on it.
The ICEHOTEL Restaurant cooks with what the forests, rivers and villages round Jukkasjärvi supply: reindeer, moose, Arctic char, pike perch, cloudberries. The menu opens with gahkku, a Sámi bread, grilled and served with wild garlic butter at 105 kronor. Starters cost between 185 and 225: hand-peeled shrimps in a Skagen on gahkku, a reindeer tartar with juniper, lingonberries and crispbread, a moose pie with Almnäs Tegel cheese, a mushroom consommé with reindeer.
Mains run from 285 kronor for vegetarian cabbage rolls with barley and celeriac purée to 455 for 160 g of reindeer inner thigh with a red wine and lingonberry sauce. Between them come Arctic char with blue mussels, fennel and trout roe at 395, pike perch with gooseberry sauce at 425, moose meatballs with cream sauce and pickled cucumber at 385, and reindeer suovas, smoked reindeer with mushrooms and caramelised onions on potato purée, at 425. The set dinner is a Skagen, the suovas and rhubarb with strawberry sorbet.
Desserts cost 155 to 195 kronor: rhubarb with rye crumble and meadowsweet syrup, cloudberries with blackcurrant and sponge cake, blueberries with coffee and chocolate ganache. The children’s card has a small Skagen, moose meatballs or pasta bolognese at 135 and pancakes with strawberry jam at 105. By the glass, cava is 125 kronor, the least expensive wine 140 and Louis Roederer champagne 225.
The ice menu is the restaurant’s showpiece, a set dinner in which some plates are blocks of ice cut from the Torne. The hotel’s page calls it 4 courses; the printed card lists 6 servings and ends on a dessert plated on ice harvested in 2026. The pescetarian and vegetarian versions replace the reindeer with Arctic char or a cabbage «tenderloin», at the same price.
Lunch is a single price: a choice of meat, fish or a vegetarian dish, with a salad buffet, the soup of the day, dessert and coffee or tea. The card is posted by the week, and 195 kronor a person is the price printed on the one for week 41 of 2026, from 5 to 11 October. On the Thursday it offered pannbiffar with juniper sauce, potato purée and lingonberries, a trout fillet with Sandefjord sauce, or a vegan «pulled pork» of jackfruit with barbecue sauce and rice.
2 more restaurants open with the winter. The Veranda is a chef’s table of 12 dishes that follow the 8 Sámi seasons: its last card went from Arctic char, half raw and half flamed, to grouse with beetroot, wild rabbit in a gahkku and a bear stew, and ended on petits fours named after the stones of the river. The Old Homestead, in the village, serves a rustic card and oven-baked pizza by the fire; its menu for winter 2025–26 priced the pizzas at 235 to 275 kronor, the dearest with reindeer steak, and the hamburger at 295.
In July 2026 one guest called it a really good restaurant for local produce and another, writing in German, found its menus very good and interesting. A guest in March 2026, who gave 4 stars, thought the restaurant and the food a little underwhelming for what the stay costs. On price, a Swedish guest in June 2026 wrote that everything in the bar and the restaurant is expensive, and another in August 2026 drove to Kiruna for dinner because the restaurant cost too much for them. A guest in February 2026 thought lunch well priced, while finding the evening a little dear. A Swedish guest in March 2026 wrote that the tasting menu at The Veranda could stand beside any restaurant they knew.

One visitor says so outright: in June 2026 a guest wrote of coming for lunch and a tour without spending the night. 2 more in January 2026, both there for the day, mention lunch at the restaurant. Lunch takes walk-ins, and for the evening the hotel suggests reserving. None of the 3 says whether the day visitor’s entrance ticket, 325 kronor an adult from 13 April to December 2026, was needed to eat: the hotel describes it as entrance to ICEHOTEL and the art exhibition, and asks for it at the ICEBAR.
On the summer 2026 card, the set menu of 3 courses is 595 kronor. Ordering from the card, a starter is 185 to 225, a main 285 to 455 and a dessert 155 to 195. The ice menu costs 1,495 kronor before drinks.
Vegetarian, yes: the card has cabbage rolls and a suovas made with soy protein, and both the ice menu and The Veranda have a vegetarian version. Vegan is harder: the hotel says it cannot offer a vegan ice menu or a vegan Veranda menu, and the only dish labelled vegan on the pages we read was on the weekly lunch card.
