The choice, in short

Why choose Mandarin Oriental New York

The vegan version takes a plant-based afternoon all the way from savouries to dessert.

The classic version

When to look elsewhere

Reservations last up to 2 hours: anyone planning to linger at the same table all afternoon needs a different arrangement.

Plant-based alternatives

The savouries have a kitchen of their own

The lobster roll brings together Maine lobster, Kewpie and gochujang mayonnaise, apple, pickled cucumber and caviar. Roast beef comes with Gruyère and pickled caramelised fennel.2

Sweets include an elderflower and huckleberry tart, a rose, lychee and raspberry macaron, hibiscus mousse cake and chamomile choux. A 70% chocolate mousse savarin finishes with lavender cream.2

Lavender Earl Grey adds Provençal lavender to bergamot; Organic Vanilla Rooibos turns to Madagascan vanilla. Ginger Yuzu brings ginger and citrus to the herbal infusions.2
