Come for days around Lincoln Center and an indoor swim, with nights from $689 for 2 adults from 25 to 28 February 2027, as Google showed for one night taken alone. A trip spent in the Village means more travelling.

  1. The room to request

For park views from your room, I would ask for a Premier Central Park View Room: 39 m² on floors 45–54, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a separate bath and walk-in shower.

  2. Late February, lower prices

In the calendar read on 17 October 2026, the nights from 25 to 28 February 2027 show $689–$700 for one night taken alone; the dearest, on 1 November 2026, is $2,680.

  3. Care for your dog

Pets stay free, with beds and bowls; pet-sitting has a 3-hour minimum, while dog walks last up to 60 minutes, and both services carry an extra fee.

  4. Before your spa treatment

Book a treatment for the Vitality Pool and steam room: spa access is from 18, with heat and water facilities available before treatment. For a first appointment, arrive 15–30 minutes early as recommended, with arrivals starting at 10.45am.

What the Mandarin Oriental is

Begin at a MO Lounge table with Central Park spread beyond the glass. Columbus Circle’s traffic becomes something to watch from above; after a day in the city, the indoor pool offers 75 ft for a swim with the Hudson beyond its windows. This is a hotel worth leaving time for.

Be precise about the view. Hudson River View Rooms face the river; Central Park View Rooms bring the park into the bedroom, with Premier rooms on floors 45–54. A suite name needs reading too: the Central Park View Suite has a park-facing sitting room and a Hudson-facing main bedroom. Family combinations may connect through exterior access.

Evenings can stay upstairs, between MO Lounge and The Bar, the speakeasy reopened in September 2025 with Silk Road-inspired cocktails. Days work naturally around the park, Lincoln Center and another swim. The spa takes separate planning: its heat and water facilities come with a treatment appointment.

The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in New York: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 17 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
