I would ask for the Grand King or the Corner King: 375 sq ft, against 225 sq ft in the Nomad Queen. The Grand King has captivating city views, the Corner King sweeping views of NoMad.
Consider 1–7 January 2027: nights for 2 adults, before tax, ran from $461 to $481 on Google, read 13 October 2026. The dearest week, 5–11 December 2026, ran from $1,153 to $1,653.

Between 8am and 5pm every day the Portrait Bar, a wood-panelled room with a carved stone fireplace, is a lounge reserved for those staying at the hotel.
The hotel opened in October 2023 on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 28th Street. Its mansion was built in 1907 by McKim, Mead & White, first as a bank according to Grub Street; the hotel traces the site back to a house commissioned in 1856 by Charlotte Goodridge. A 24-storey glass tower stands beside it, and Martin Brudnizki designed the interiors of both. The MICHELIN Guide gives it Two Keys and counts 149 rooms; Travel + Leisure readers voted it the best hotel in New York in 2025 and again in 2026.
Rooms run from the 21 m² Nomad Queen to the Topiary Suite, 79 m² with a 70 m² terrace, and the Flâneur Penthouse, which takes the mansion’s whole seventh floor. Every stay includes the butler, the house car, the Maxibar’s snacks and soft drinks, pressing of 3 pieces and a shoeshine. Downstairs are Café Carmellini, Andrew Carmellini’s restaurant, and the wood-panelled Portrait Bar; in the room, the butler brings the Tea Ritual in the afternoon and the Martini Ritual at night.
On Google the hotel scores 4.6 out of 5 from 289 reviews, on Tripadvisor 4.6 from 134, on Booking 8.7 out of 10 from 66. Tower rooms start at the Nomad Queen’s 21 m², and anyone who wants space should look at the mansion suites, from 53 m².

The scores come from 210 Google reviews with text, left from 13 July 2023 to 29 September 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in NoMad: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 5 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

From the hotel’s Google listing, in 2026: the quiet, the Martini Ritual, the decor, an odd little hotel, the price.
A week here: nothing was too much trouble, every request dealt with at once; on the 18th floor the room was silent, not one horn.
A special hotel: stunning rooms, comfortable beds, snacks and drinks in the room at no extra charge, and the Martini Ritual was great fun.
Designed with an almost Wes Anderson feel, with art and rooms to match; the butler team went above and beyond.
An odd little hotel, form over function: a spotless room, tremendous service and windows that open, but the TV runs only from an iPad.
$1,800 a night for a room with no space, weak water pressure and slow lifts: nice, but not worth that much.
