Niva Kuramathi Maldives: all inclusive, buffet or à la carte
Kuramathi Maldives all inclusive comes in 2 plans: the All-Inclusive, from 3 nights, with drinks and every meal at the buffet assigned to your villa, and the Dine Around All-Inclusive, from 4 nights, which adds the 9 à la carte restaurants. The resort publishes no price for either plan.

Who it suits
Why choose Kuramathi
Families and couples staying at least 3 nights who want drinks, mask and fins paid for up front.
The 2 plansWhen to look elsewhere
You eat at your villa’s buffet, premium labels are charged and the plan’s supplement only shows in the rate.
Before choosingNearly 2 km of island: buffets, bars and reef
One of the oldest resorts in the Maldives, under a new name since February 2026.
Kuramathi was among the country’s first resorts: opened in 1975 according to Maldives Magazine, in 1977 according to Maldives Idylls. It belongs to Universal Enterprises, the Maldivian family behind Baros and Milaidhoo, and since 28 February 2026 it has carried the name Niva Kuramathi Maldives, under VERSA Hospitality’s new brand.
The plan follows you into the water too: mask and fins are included, and the resort describes green and hawksbill turtles on the house reef throughout the year, without guaranteeing sightings. Bageecha, the club for children aged 3 to 12, is free.
The basic plan stops at the buffet: on the All-Inclusive every meal is at the one assigned to your villa, and the 9 à la carte restaurants come only with the Dine Around. Guests on the restaurant plan, which reviewers in 2022 and 2023 called Select All-Inclusive, recommend it precisely for trying them.
Choosing a plan at Kuramathi
5 choices, in the order they shape the stay.
- Count your nights
The All-Inclusive starts at 3 nights and the Dine Around All-Inclusive at 4; shorter stays leave full board, half board and B&B.
- Check which buffet is yours
On full board and the All-Inclusive you eat at the buffet for your part of the island, Haruge, Malaafaiy or Farivalhu; the island is nearly 2 km long.
- Decide on à la carte
The 9 à la carte restaurants come only with the Dine Around, booked ahead; Island Barbeque and Kobe take children from age 6.
- Read the drinks list
The plan covers the selection marked on the menu, from draught beer to cocktails; premium labels and the Sky Bar are excluded.
- Add what stays outside
The seaplane, the green tax of $12 per person per day and, at Christmas and New Year, compulsory gala dinners.

All-Inclusive and Dine Around: what is on the plate and in the glass
From the March 2026 meal plans factsheet, the one the resort’s FAQ links to, read on 7 October 2026.
The plans and their rules
- The All-Inclusive, for a minimum of 3 nights, covers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea, coffee and Kuramathi water, afternoon refreshments of snacks and local bites, snorkelling gear, 1 hour of windsurfing a day without lessons, and one visit to Rasdhoo per stay. Drinks are those on the plan’s list in every bar and restaurant: soft drinks, packet juice, branded spirits, cocktails, house wine by the glass, draught beer, speciality tea and coffee. The minibar holds soft drinks, juices, beer and water.
- The Dine Around All-Inclusive, for a minimum of 4 nights, adds a choice of the 9 à la carte restaurants during their opening hours, with dinner reservations, a curated selection of wines at à la carte dinners and $35 of spa credit per adult. Each à la carte meal includes one starter, one main and one dessert per person; premium dishes marked on the menu are charged.
- Both plans exclude premium-label drinks, marked on the menu, and private dining; the Sky Bar, 7 metres above the sea, sits outside every all-inclusive package. On departure day the buffet lunch and the plan’s drinks continue until you leave.
- The spa credit applies to selected massages, not to retail; it cannot be transferred or refunded if unused. The Rasdhoo trip, daily except Thursday, costs $18 a person for full-board guests only.

Full board, All-Inclusive and Dine Around differ in minimum nights, table and glass.
The official site mixes documents. The dining page, read on 7 October 2026, shows a Premium All Inclusive plan whose brochure button opens nothing; asked about an all-inclusive, the FAQ describes Niva Dhigali’s Premium All-Inclusive, and a file of that name on the same site describes Dhigali. Kuramathi’s plans are those in the March 2026 factsheet.
