Why families and friends choose Ailafushi on the plan, and what they find there.

Element X is where the plan is lived: open kitchens for Western, Central Asian and East Asian dishes, a chilled room of salad and dessert bars, wine and beer on tap. Guests praise the choice. One guest reported that after 3 days the dishes come round again, and dinner starts at 7pm, which is worth knowing with a small child.

In the evening X360 becomes the island’s centre, with the cocktail fountain from 6pm, a band or a DJ and a dance floor on the lower deck. The noise is the point: this is an island of families, children and groups of friends. Couples after quiet have Lobigili across the jetty, the group’s resort for adults.

The plan keeps you on the island: outside boats are not allowed, so trips in search of sharks, mantas and turtles are run by the resort and cost extra; in August 2026, 2 people paid $437 for the shark trip. 5 things to settle before the Fushi Plan

From the flight times to the snorkelling gear, what is best decided at home.

Count the first and last day
Check-in is at 2pm, and the plan’s privileges stop at 11am on departure day. Speedboats leave at set times, so there is a wait at the airport before boarding: guests report up to 2 hours.
Choose the room on price
The plan is the same in all 4 room types. On 4 October 2026 a Water Villa cost $186 more than an Ocean View Room for 2, both on the Fushi Plan.
Pack a mask and fins
The homepage and both current offers include snorkelling gear, the plan’s PDF does not list it, and in August 2026 a guest paid to rent it.
Budget for the boat trips
In October 2025 a couple listed $200 a head to swim with sharks, $250 for mantas and $150 for turtles. Outside boats, and excursions run by other companies, are not allowed.
From 4 nights, read the offers
The Getaway takes 20% off; Stay More, Get More takes 10% and adds $100 of resort credit every 4 nights, family rooms excluded. Both ask a 25% deposit, and the cancellation deadline is 14 days before arrival.

The plan and its conditions

The Fushi Plan includes the speedboat from Velana both ways, 15 minutes each, and 3 buffet meals a day at Element X: breakfast 7–10am, lunch noon–3pm, dinner 7–10pm, with 5 show-cooking sections and a chilled room of salad and dessert bars. At lunch the Kids X Camp, open 9am–6pm, serves its own children’s buffet of finger food, pasta, pizza and cakes; the club’s arcade games charge.
Drinks: house spirits, beers and house pour wines without limit at X360 and its grab-and-go counter, 10am to 12.45am; the cocktail fountain from 6pm, with 10 cocktails and a mocktail of the day; self-service wine, beer, juice, tea and coffee at Element X; soft drinks, water and packaged juices at every outlet. The minibar is restocked once a day with 2 beers, 2 Cokes and 2 Sprites. Premium labels are outside the list: in October 2025 a couple paid for Aperol and Disaronno.
Kayaks, SUPs and paddleboards are free for 15 minutes a person a day each. The overwater gym, the group classes and the evening DJ or band at X360 are included. Outside boats and excursions run by other companies are not allowed on the island. The plan’s privileges stop at 11am on departure day; check-out is at noon, and a late one costs extra when it is available.
Charged on top: Only BLU, the underwater restaurant; the Copper Pot food truck, from $55 a person plus service and tax; the ELE|NA Ayur spa, motorised water sports and every excursion. The PDF lists selected wine pairings at the Copper Pot among the plan’s drinks. No minimum stay is published for the plan itself; the 2 current offers start at 4 nights.

Element X, X360 and the 2 places that charge

4 room types, one plan

The Fushi Plan does not change with the room; the price does. For the night of 4 October 2026 the official website asked, for 2 with the plan and transfers, $572 for an Ocean View Room, $693 for a Beach Villa, $719 for an Ocean View Family Two Bedroom and $758 for a Water Villa, tax included.

The family rooms have 2 bathrooms and a children’s room with a bunk bed, for 2 adults and 2 children, and are the one type the Stay More, Get More offer leaves out. None of the 4 types has a private pool; the Water Villas have steps down into the lagoon.

Fushi Plan questions

Is OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi all inclusive?

Yes. Every official-website rate on the Google Hotels card read on 3 October 2026 carried the «FUSHI Plan - with Free Transfers», and Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor list the resort as «All Inclusive with Free Transfers». The plan covers the buffet, house drinks, the minibar and the speedboat; à la carte dining, the spa and excursions are extra.

How much is a night on the Fushi Plan?

For the night of 4 October 2026, read on 3 October for 2 adults with tax: $572 for an Ocean View Room, $693 for a Beach Villa, $719 for an Ocean View Family Two Bedroom and $758 for a Water Villa on the official website. Google’s calendar, which names no room, showed on 12 October $668 on 1 November, $1,099 on 24 December and $751 on 7 January 2027.

Is snorkelling gear included?

The sources disagree. The homepage and both current offers include it; the plan’s page and March 2026 PDF do not mention it. In October 2025 a couple paid $70 for 2 sets over 2 and a half days and in August 2026 another guest paid to rent it, while in September 2026 a couple on Tripadvisor described it as free.

What does a child pay?

The website publishes no children’s price for the plan. In July 2026 a family paid $89 a night for a 5-year-old, plus green tax. The Kids X Camp, open 9am to 6pm, and its lunch buffet are part of the plan; the arcade games charge.

Can you dine at Only BLU on the plan?

No: Only BLU, the restaurant under the sea, charges and is booked ahead, with set menus of meat, seafood or vegetarian dishes; guests in 2025 paid $125 to $161 a head. The Copper Pot food truck charges too, from $55 a person plus service and tax.

Is there a minimum stay?

None is published for the Fushi Plan. The 2 current offers, The Getaway and Stay More, Get More, start at 4 nights, take a 25% deposit at booking and set the cancellation deadline 14 days before arrival; Stay More, Get More excludes the family rooms.

What happens on departure day?

The plan’s privileges stop at 11am and check-out is at noon; a late check-out costs extra when the day allows it. Anyone with an evening flight should ask the resort before travelling: staying on the island until the evening can mean paying for the extra day.
