Why choose this island, the plan aside.
Maamutaa is an 18-hectare island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, grown around a natural lake, and the website presents the resort as the first all-inclusive Pullman in the world. You reach it with a 55-minute flight from Malé and 15 minutes by speedboat, less than one degree north of the equator.
The sea is the reason to come. The Suvadiva dive centre is PADI 5 Star and runs to 26 sites in the atoll; guests in 2026 describe sharks, turtles and rays under the jetties, within reach of the mask and fins the plan includes.
At table the most personal address is Phat Chameleon, which cooks the Maldivian tradition with coconut, curry leaf and breadfruit and where, the resort writes, you can come back as often as you like. From the Kooddoo flight to the New Year’s Eve dinner
The choices that change the bill, in the order you meet them.
- The domestic flight is extra
Malé to Kooddoo takes 55 minutes and costs $700 a head from age 12 and $500 from 2 to 11, return, on the resort’s location page read on 7 October 2026; the 15-minute speedboat to the island is included.
- Booking ahead pays
The All-Inclusive Offer takes 10–25% off when you book 7 days ahead and 15–30% when you book 21 days ahead, rising with the number of nights.
- The perks start at 7 nights
For arrivals from 15 April 2026, from 7 nights each guest aged 12 or over gets a sunset cruise or sunset fishing trip, 30 extra minutes on a massage and $20 of laundry per room; from 10 nights also $50 of excursions a head and $200 of spa per villa.
- Book restaurants and the spa at once
The resort asks guests to book the spa, activities and excursions on arrival; guests in 2025 and 2026 advise doing the same with Souq Oven and Phat Chameleon, which fill up.
- 2 compulsory dinners at Christmas and New Year
Booking.com adds the gala dinner on 24 December 2026, from $320 a head from age 12, and the one on 31 December, $600; for ages 6 to 11 they cost $180 and $400.

What it covers and what it leaves out
- Breakfast is at Mélange, a buffet with 6 stations from 7am to 10am, or at Sol Rising, à la carte from 7am to 9.30am; lunch at Mélange or Souq Oven; dinner at Mélange, Souq Oven or Phat Chameleon, which closes on Fridays. You eat in one restaurant per meal: move to another in the same sitting and you pay for what you order. At The Hub, from 11am to 2pm, you pick 3 dishes from the all-inclusive menu; anything more is charged.
- Drinks are served at The Hub and Sol Rising from 10am to 11pm and at Saffron Affair from 4pm to 1am. The official pages disagree on the list: the All-Inclusive Offer speaks of more than 130 alcoholic labels, the resort’s own page of more than 80, the second offer and Mélange of more than 80 international wines. The villa minibar is restocked once a day on request; Booking.com says twice a day.
- The plan covers the Kids Playground for ages 4 to 11, Skillz for teenagers with karaoke and a golf simulator, one court for tennis, padel, pickleball and badminton, beach volleyball, aqua aerobics, Zumba, sunrise yoga, the 24-hour gym, snorkelling gear, 1 hour a day of paddleboard and kayak and, on request, a trial dive in the main pool. The All-Inclusive Offer adds windsurfing to the daily hour of sport; the resort’s page does not name it.
- Left out are the flight to Kooddoo, spa treatments, diving, which needs a licence and insurance, and excursions: the plan names non-motorised sport only. The long-stay perks apply from age 12, are booked on arrival and are not refunded if unused; check-in is at 2pm, check-out at noon. Romantic Escapes, from 4 nights, adds a bottle of champagne, a fruit basket and a 2pm check-out to the same plan.

12 villa types, 9 with a pool
The 122 villas stand on the beach, over the water and, in the 2 Aqua Villas, with a bedroom below the sea. They run from the 160 m² Ocean Villa to the 1,474 m² Four Bedroom Ocean Pool Retreat; the Beach Villa, Ocean Villa and Family Beach Villa have no pool.
The plan’s pages list the same items whatever the villa; the price is what changes. For the night of 7 October 2026 Booking.com sold the Beach Villa at $1,169 for 2 and the Ocean Pool Villa at $1,543, taxes included.

Google Hotels prices read on 6 October 2026 for 2 adults, taxes included. The calendar names neither the villa nor the plan, and Booking.com sells the resort as «All-Inclusive Resort»: it showed $806 for 19 October, $1,774 for 1 November, $1,776 for 12 December, $5,077 for 31 December and $2,441 for 7 January 2027. The domestic flight comes on top of every figure.

The 2025 and 2026 reviews keep returning to the green island, the villas with their private pools and the turtles, reef sharks and rays under the water villas; the à la carte restaurants are best reserved on arrival, and extras sit outside the plan, from lobster to in-villa dining. Questions before you book
Is the Kooddoo flight included in the all inclusive?
No. On the resort’s location page, read on 7 October 2026, the 55-minute flight from Malé costs $700 a head return from age 12 and $500 from 2 to 11, and is free under 2 on a parent’s lap; the 15-minute speedboat to the island is included. A private seaplane costs $19,000 each way.
Can you dine in 2 restaurants on the same evening?
No: the plan allows one restaurant per sitting, and moving to a second in the same meal means paying for what you order. At The Hub, from 11am to 2pm, 3 dishes from the all-inclusive menu are included.
Are lobster and in-villa dining included?
The plan’s pages do not list them. In 2025 and 2026 reviews, guests found lobster and king crab, in-villa dining and rentals on their bill.
How many labels are on the list?
It depends on the page: the All-Inclusive Offer says more than 130 alcoholic labels, the resort’s page more than 80, the second offer and Mélange more than 80 international wines. Saffron Affair speaks of premium liqueurs and more than 80 wines on its all-inclusive menu.
Do children get the same perks?
The Kids Playground takes children aged 4 to 11 and Skillz is the teenagers’ space, both on the plan; the 7- and 10-night perks apply only from age 12. Dry excursions start at age 3, snorkelling at 5.
Are there discounts on the all inclusive?
The All-Inclusive Offer, read on 7 October 2026, takes 10% off up to 4 nights, 15% from 5, 20% from 7 and 25% from 10 when you book 7 days ahead; at 21 days the discounts rise to 15, 20, 25 and 30%.
Is the minibar restocked once or twice a day?
The official plan pages say once a day, on request; the Booking.com listing, read on 3 October 2026, says twice.
