PricesMenu prices are «++»: the service charge and GST are added, and a booked table may need a hold on a card.
Other rooftop barsOn the hotel’s roof, overlooking Clifford Pier and facing Marina Bay Sands.
Lantern takes its name from Clifford Pier, the landing pier of 1933 beside the hotel. Locals knew the pier as «Ang Teng Beh Tao», «red lantern pier» in Hokkien, says the menu, after the red oil lamp that hung from it to alert ships entering the harbour. The bar’s centrepiece is a circular counter shaped like a lantern, with bronze metal fins. Around it are the infinity lap pool, the planting and, past the balustrade, Marina Bay.
The beverage menu opens with 4 slings. The Fullerton Sling, S$32, reworks the Singapore Sling with Lime Garden gin, calamansi juice and rose syrup; the Sydney Sling, S$30, was created in 2019 for the opening of the group’s Sydney hotel; the Sweet Passion and the Peach Berry are S$28 each. Mojitos cost S$26 to S$30, a Negroni or a Manhattan aged for 45 days S$28, a Red Lantern with Don Julio Blanco, watermelon and cucumber S$26, and a Heineken 0.0 S$10. Because the bar frames the pool, everything is poured into polycarbonate glasses.
The food menu is made for sharing. A plate of 3 mini wagyu beef sliders is S$34, a grilled lobster quesadilla S$46, a Philly steak sandwich S$48 and a cheese and charcuterie platter for 2 S$58; a wagyu beef short rib for 3 to 4 people is S$138 and takes 20 to 25 minutes to prepare. Among the smaller plates, tortilla chips with guacamole, salsa and a cheese dip are S$24 and French fries S$16, or S$18 with black truffle and parmesan.
The week has its fixtures. From Monday to Friday, public holidays and blackout dates excepted, The Skive Life prices house-pour beer and wine at S$10++ a glass and a Margarita, Aperol Spritz, Whisky Sour or Lychee Martini at S$15++, from 3pm to 6pm. Every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm, Ladies’ Night costs S$58++ for 2 hours of free-flow Whispering Angel rosé and Chandon Garden Spritz, or S$78++ with Veuve Clicquot. On Sundays from 5pm to 9pm the Brazilian barbecue grills skewers from S$38++ for 3 and pours cocktail jugs at S$78++, with a samba performance on the last Sunday of the month.
What guests write about is the view. Of the hotel’s Google reviews with text, 65 mention Lantern or the rooftop bar, by our count, and Marina Bay Sands comes up again and again: a guest writing in French in August 2026 calls the bar a must for its view of the towers, with excellent cocktails and pleasant music. The light and water show runs for 15 minutes on the bay, and the hotel’s page lists Lantern among the places to watch it. A visitor in July 2026 came to the hotel on a Friday for drinks with a view of the bay and the 8pm show, without naming the venue, and found the table staff a little too quick to clear.
For someone staying, Lantern is the hotel’s evening. The pool it frames, 25 metres long by the hotel’s wellness page, is reserved for hotel residents from 7am to 10pm, so a guest has the deck by day and a table at night; for the private events of 9 to 11 October 2026 the bar’s page set designated areas aside for in-house guests. Below are 100 rooms, each with a balcony, and 6 of the 8 types look at the same bay. The closeness has another side: a guest in October 2023 wrote that the roof’s music kept them awake, and one in September 2026 heard the bar from the 5th floor.
From Monday to Friday, public holidays excepted, The Skive Life lists selected drinks at S$10++ and S$15++ a glass, with a snack platter for 2 at S$38++.
The resident DJ plays from 7pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
The light and water show plays at 8pm and 9pm every day, and at 10pm as well on Fridays and Saturdays.
The kitchen takes its last order at 11:45pm on every night of the week.
Last drinks are ordered at 12:15am from Sunday to Thursday and at 1:15am on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays.

A guest in June 2023 writes that they love the «Peachy Sling». One in September 2024, staying during a function, was seated in the residents’ area at the rear, next to the gym, and had a table with the view the following evening. One in February 2025 found the prices steep: apple juice for the children at 12 dollars, a Singapore Sling from 28.
