Cavo Tagoo prices in Mykonos: a night across the 2027 season, taxes inside

A calendar price is the lowest Google showed for that night. Google says neither which room it is, nor which seller, nor whether taxes are inside. For Cavo Tagoo it showed a price for 116 of the 385 nights it listed, all of them between 14 May and 6 September 2027, and the response named no seller for any. The hotel’s engine is the fuller source here: it sells every room by name, in euros, and marks each price «Includes all taxes & fees».

On Google the season climbs in 4 steps. From 14 to 27 May the 14 nights stood between €610 and €650. From 28 May to 9 June they ran from €742 to €791, and from 10 to 17 June from €974 to €1,038. On 18 June the calendar reached its summer level and held it to the end of August: 72 of those 75 nights showed €1,171 to €1,250, and the other 3, the nights of 18 July, 18 August and 25 August, €1,470, €1,470 and €1,472. The first 6 nights of September were back at €975 to €1,038. The lowest night on Google was €610, for 15 and 18 May 2027, and the highest €1,472, for 25 August. The counts are ours, on the calendar read on 11 October 2026.

The hotel’s engine moves in the same steps, higher up. The cheapest room it sold for 2027, the Premium Room Sea View, cost €780 on the prepaid Non Refundable Offer for 15 May, €1,502.50 for 18 July and €1,247.50 for 1 September when we read it on 11 October. The reading of 8 October fills in the rest: €780 for 14, 16 and 22 May, €950 for 5 June, €1,247.50 for 15 June, €1,502.50 for each of the 6 nights read from 26 June to 25 August, €1,247.50 again for 5 and 18 September, and €780 for every night read from 2 to 10 October 2027.

Set the 2 side by side on the same nights and Google is always the lower. For 15 May it showed €610 where the engine asked €780; for 1 September, €975 against €1,247.50; for 18 July, €1,470 against €1,502.50. Against the engine as read 3 days earlier, it showed €749 for 5 June against €950, €974 for 15 June against €1,247.50, and €1,181 for 14 August against €1,502.50. That is between 2% and 22% less, by our arithmetic. Who sells at Google’s figure, for which room and with which taxes, the calendar leaves unsaid; the engine’s price is one you can book as it stands.

The engine marks its figure as including all taxes and fees. The conditions of each rate, read on 8 October, list what is inside it: VAT at 13%, a city tax of 0.5% and the Climate Resilience Tax, €15 a room a night in summer, with an American buffet breakfast. The choice that moves the price is the rate. For 15 May the Flexible rate was €915, which is €135 more than the prepaid one; for 18 July €1,765, or €262.50 more. Flexible takes a 30% deposit when you book, €274.50 on the May night, charges the balance when the cancellation period ends, and can be cancelled without charge until 21 days before arrival.

The edges of the season have their own rules. The engine’s About page gives the operating period as 15 May to 14 October, yet for 2027 it sold the night of 14 May, as Google’s calendar did at €650. On 8 October 2026, the last night it sold this year, a Classic room with a side sea view started at €610, and it had no offers for 9 to 14 October. Google, that same day, showed a single price in the 115 nights to the end of January: €906 for 10 October 2026, a night the hotel’s engine was not selling.

What guests write about money on Google is mostly about the top of the list and the extras. 2 reviews of August 2025, which tell the same story and may come from one party, each put a cave-pool room at almost $3,000 a night. A guest of May 2026, who stayed in the low season, called the hotel «incredibly overpriced»; another, in June 2026, wrote that it was «worth every penny». A diner of August 2025 describes a minimum spend of €200 a person for dinner on the daybeds at the pool’s edge, and a guest of July 2026 advises reading the bill, after being asked for €200 nobody could explain.

The gap is widest in May, June and September, where Google’s lowest figure was about a fifth under the hotel’s prepaid price, and narrowest on 18 July, one of the 3 summer nights for which Google showed more than €1,250.

On all 6 nights the Flexible rate stood about 17% above the prepaid one.
