Cavo Tagoo suits couples who want their hotel to carry the evening: music runs until 1.30am, with Google’s lowest seller price from €650 for one night for 2 adults in May 2027. For a beach at the door or an early night, I would choose another address.

Like a regular

  1. The less expensive weeks

Read on 13 October 2026: single nights from 14 to 26 May 2027 cost €650; from 2 to 8 August, €1,250. For 14 May, the hotel’s own site asked €780, read on 8 October 2026.

  2. Allow for these extras

At the spa, budget €140 for a 60-minute Deep Tissue Massage from the 2026 menu; a missed appointment is charged at the full treatment price.

  3. Reserve the steam room

The sauna and steam room are complimentary, but call the spa at least 20 minutes ahead to reserve them; both are open from 10am to 9pm.

What Cavo Tagoo is

Cavo Tagoo stands at Tagoo, on the road that runs north from Mykonos Town to the new port at Tourlos, facing west over the bay. The hotel says it is built on a historic stone quarry, and the rock shows: several suites have a pool inside a whitewashed cave, the first of their kind on the island by the hotel’s account. The official site lists 14 room types, from 25 m² rooms to a villa of up to 325 m².

People come for the scene. By day the infinity pool is laid with daybeds on timber decks in the water; from 7pm it becomes Meraki’s terrace, with a chef’s table, floating beds and a bar until 1.30am. Zuma, with a pool of its own, is reached from the lobby by a private corridor, and a free shuttle runs to town.

It is a hotel to choose for what it is: a pool that turns into a venue every evening, with music until 1.30am. Anyone after quiet nights or the sea below the room will be happier elsewhere. Beyond the room, the bill carries the evening minimum spends, which guests in 2025 put at €50 to €200 a person, and the extras charged separately, from transfers to spa treatments. There is no beach, and the season lasts 5 months.

In the Lumina Guide

Lumina Guide 2027

Cavo Tagoo is cut into the cliff at Tagoo, 11 minutes on foot from Mykonos Old Port: white terraces, an infinity pool with daybeds in the water above the Aegean, and suites whose private pool runs into the rock.

  6. The stay as a whole

From €780 in May to €1,503 in July 2027 for the smallest room, taxes and breakfast included; transfers, spa treatments and evening tables are charged separately.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 9 January 2020 to 4 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay on Mykonos: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 8 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against on Mykonos:

  • Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge
  • Belvedere Mykonos
  • Kalesma Mykonos
  • Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos
  • Katikies Mykonos

Questions before you go

The questions people ask before booking Cavo Tagoo Mykonos, answered from sources read on 8 October 2026.

What kind of hotel is Cavo Tagoo Mykonos?

A 5-star seasonal hotel on the west coast of Mykonos, at Tagoo, between Mykonos Town and the new port. Its booking engine describes it as built into a natural cliff-side near Chora, and the FAQ says it stands on a historic stone quarry. It has an infinity pool and lounge, the restaurant Meraki, a spa, a gym, a boutique and 14 room types on the official site.

The site publishes no room count and no opening year; Expedia writes of 94 rooms. Zuma Mykonos, next door, is a separate restaurant with its own pool, joined to the lobby by a corridor. Cavo Tagoo Santorini, which shares the website, is another hotel on another island.

Which rooms are there, and how big are they?

The official site lists 14 types. Premium Rooms of 25 to 30 m², with or without a private pool; Junior Suites of 35 m² and Suites of 40 m², each with either an outdoor hot tub or a pool; the 40 m² Cave Pool Suite; 2 two-bedroom suites of 60 m²; and 5 villas, from the 45 m² Orlinski Cave Pool Villa to the Diamond Villa of 250 to 325 m² for up to 13 guests.

Every type has a sea view except the 2-bedroom suite with a cave pool, and all but the Premium Room have a private pool or hot tub. On the booking engine, read on 8 October 2026 for 14 May 2027, the Premium Room with Pool and the Junior Suite with Hot Tub cost €907.50 a night, the Cave Pool Suite €1,375 and the Diamond Villa €4,690; for 20 July 2027 the same 3 cost €1,672.50, €2,480 and €9,790, breakfast and taxes included.

The engine also sells 4 types the site does not show: a Classic room with a side sea view, a Honeymoon Suite with Private Pool and 2 Paradisia villas of 6 and 8 bedrooms. It gives the Premium Room 20 to 25 m², less than the site’s figure.

Where is it, and is the area quiet?

At Tagoo, on the coast road north of Mykonos Town; the booking engine gives the address as Ormou Agiou Ioanni-Agiou Stefanou Street, 846 00 Mykonos. The Old Port is 11 minutes away on foot, and the terraces look west over the bay where the ferries and cruise ships pass.

It is a lively address. The pool has DJ sets by day and music until 1.30am, and the road passes right below: between 2024 and 2026, 3 Google reviews say traffic can be heard from the rooms nearest the road.

How far is Mykonos Town on foot?

Calculated on OpenStreetMap’s paths on 8 October 2026: 10 minutes and 739 metres to the Archaeological Museum, 11 minutes to the Old Port, 19 minutes and 1,462 metres to Panagia Paraportiani, 20 minutes to Little Venice and 23 minutes, 1,750 metres, to the windmills. A second router is slower through the lanes: 26, 25 and 27 minutes for the last 3.

The hotel’s FAQ says 10 minutes to the centre of Chora and the Old Port, and Google’s listing puts Paraportiani 1.5 km away. The hotel’s shuttle to town is free.

How do you get there from the airport and the port, and what about luggage?

Mykonos Airport is 4.7 km away: 7 minutes by car without traffic on one router and 13 on another, calculated on OpenStreetMap’s roads on 8 October 2026. The new port at Tourlos is 1.1 km north, 2 to 5 minutes by car; the Old Port is the one within a walk. The hotel’s FAQ mentions daily ferries to Santorini, Paros and Naxos.

The hotel arranges private transfers in its own cars from either, at a charge it does not publish, and recommends booking ahead through the concierge, says the FAQ. A guest in July 2026 found the fares comparable to a ride-hailing app.

The hotel climbs a cliff, so rooms are reached by steps. Luggage handling and storage are on the FAQ’s list of services, and Expedia lists a porter and a lift.

Is there parking?

Yes: free private parking with valet service for every guest, according to the hotel’s FAQ. Booking.com lists a parking garage, and Google adds charging points for electric cars.

Mykonos is an island, so a car comes over by ferry or is hired on the spot; Google’s listing mentions car rental at the hotel. For the town there is the walk, or the free shuttle.

Does the hotel have a beach or access to the sea?

No. Cavo Tagoo is built on a cliff above the coast road, and none of its official pages mentions a beach, a jetty or a swimming platform: the water here is the pool. A guest in June 2025 wrote the same: there is no beach access and no partner beach club.

The nearest sand is Megali Ammos, 2.4 km by road and 4 to 5 minutes by car; Ornos is 4.6 km and Psarou 5.4 km away. For the sea itself the concierge charters yachts from the hotel’s own fleet.

What is the pool like?

The main pool is an outdoor infinity pool on a terrace above the bay, with double daybeds on timber decks set in the water, a pool bar and a lounge, as the Pool & Lounge page shows. Booking.com and Expedia describe it as saltwater, with lighting that changes colour and an aquarium bar about 40 yards long.

Beyond it, 13 of the 14 room types have a pool or hot tub of their own, 3 of them inside a cave. Zuma’s Olympic-sized pool next door belongs to the restaurant: on Zuma’s site a daybed there costs €95 a person. Booking.com also mentions a spa with an indoor pool, which neither the hotel’s spa page nor its spa menu lists.

Is the pool heated, and when is it open?

The hotel’s FAQ states that all its pools are heated. The pool area is open daily from 11am to 7pm, then serves as an evening venue until 1.30am; like the hotel, it works only from mid-May to mid-October.

Anyone set on warm water should ask before booking: between June and August 2025, 4 Google reviews describe the main pool or a cave pool as cold, while in September 2026 another writes of warm water in the main pool. The hotel publishes no temperature.

Where can you eat, and until when?

Meraki is the hotel’s restaurant: Greek and Mediterranean cooking made for sharing, by the pool. On its 2026 dinner menu taramosalata is €24, a Mykonian salad €38, octopus with fava €40, a stuffed sea bass for 2 €130, slow-cooked lamb shoulder from Naxos for 2 €140 and a beef fillet €80. The pool bar and restaurant serve from 11am to 7pm, and the evening runs from 7pm to 1.30am.

Zuma Mykonos, contemporary Japanese, stands beside the hotel; guests reach it through a private corridor from the lobby and may request a table up to 24 hours ahead. Its own site says it closed for the season after a final night on 3 October 2026 and returns in summer 2027. Room service runs 24 hours.

Is breakfast included, and are there meal plans?

Breakfast is included in every rate on the official booking engine: its rate notes say «Rate includes American Buffet Breakfast and all taxes». A guest in September 2026 wrote that it is served until almost noon, at Meraki, and another in June 2025 that dishes can be ordered from a menu besides the buffet. Early breakfasts and meal boxes are prepared on request, says the FAQ.

No official page offers half board or full board. Lunch and dinner are à la carte at Meraki or by room service.

What is the spa like?

The Cavo Tagoo Spa offers massages, facials and body treatments with a sauna and a steam room, and next to it are a gym and a hair and nail salon, according to the Spa & Gym page. Its 2026 menu is built on Sisley Paris treatments and the spa’s own rituals.

The hotel publishes neither the spa’s floor area nor the number of treatment rooms. Booking.com calls it the Golden Spa and adds chromotherapy and an indoor pool; the official menu’s list of facilities stops at the gym, the sauna and the steam room. Guests in 2026 describe a small gym.

Is the spa included, and can outside guests use it?

For hotel guests the sauna, the steam room and the gym are free: the spa menu lists them as complimentary facilities, the first 2 by reservation at least 20 minutes ahead. Treatments are paid for. Nobody under 16 may use the spa.

No official page sells a spa day pass, and the FAQ reserves the gym for hotel guests. The only pass the hotel describes is for the pool: a limited number, booked in advance through reservations, with the price varying by season and left unpublished.

What are the spa’s and the pool’s hours, and do you need to book?

The spa is open from 10am to 9pm, and so are its sauna and steam room; the gym never closes, says the spa menu. The pool area keeps the hours 11am to 7pm, according to the FAQ.

Treatments are booked through the spa reception, which asks guests to arrive 15 minutes early. Cancelling is free up to 2 hours before; within the last hour half the price is charged, and a no-show pays in full.

Which treatments are there, and at what prices?

On the 2026 spa menu: aroma-calming and deep-tissue massages at €140 for 60 minutes and €180 for 90, Thai massage at €160 and €200, a detox massage at €140, and back, head or foot massages of 30 minutes at €70. Sisley facials cost €170 to €190 for an hour and €250 for 90 minutes.

The spa’s own rituals are Top 2 Toe, 120 minutes of scrub, massage and facial for €250, and the Detox Spa Ritual and Holistic Beauty Care at €180 for 90 minutes each. Nail and hair services are run with 2 outside companies.

Is it a good hotel for children?

Children of all ages are accepted, cots are provided free on request and babysitting can be arranged, says the hotel’s FAQ, which also warns that the design and layout require parental supervision at all times. The 2-bedroom suites sleep 5 and the villas 7 to 13.

There is no kids’ club, children’s pool or children’s menu on any official page, the spa is closed to under-16s, and the pool has DJ sets through the day. Children of all ages are welcome and cots are provided on request, according to the hotel’s FAQ, read on 15 October 2026.

Are dogs allowed?

Small pets are welcome on request, says the hotel’s FAQ: charges or restrictions may apply by room category, and the hotel wants to be told in advance. It publishes neither a weight limit nor a fee.

The portals fill the gap differently: Expedia says pets stay free, up to 11 lb each, with food and water bowls provided; Booking.com says pets are allowed on request and charges may apply.

What else does the hotel have?

A boutique selling Greek and international labels, among them Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Vilebrequin; a hair and nail salon; a 24-hour front desk and concierge; laundry and pressing; free Wi-Fi; and a minibar, safe and coffee maker in every room.

The concierge arranges yacht days on the hotel’s own fleet, helicopter charters, private tours and drivers, proposals and photo shoots. No official page lists meeting rooms.
