You want a choice of many restaurants, a large island or a low nightly price: the plan centres on one buffet and the bill starts at $930 a night.

Why Lily Beach, beyond the plan

The island is small, the reef is close and the family that owns it has run it for 30 years.

Lily Beach opened in 1994 and belongs to Lily Hotels, a Maldivian group; it turned 30 in November 2024 (Travel Trade Maldives). In 2009 it was rebuilt from top to bottom and reopened as an all-inclusive 5-star (Maldives Magazine), long before the plan became common in the Maldives.

The house reef is the other reason to come: it rings the island and is known across Ari Atoll for its coral and fish (snorkelling); you swim to it 10 to 20 metres off the beach (Expedia), and guests since mid-2024 describe the coral as alive (Google reviews).

Families have the Turtle Kids Club from 3 to 11, from 9am to 5.30pm, a shallow pool at Vibes and a doctor on the island day and night (families, FAQ). Until 31 March 2027, outside the festive weeks, the Platinum Winter Escape lets one child aged 2 to 11 stay and eat free (Platinum Winter Escape).
