La Locanda serves breakfast from 7am to 11am, as a buffet: one guest in June 2025 lists a fattoush salad, masala dosa, an Italian waffle and a Maldivian breakfast. It is charged when your rate does not include it.

The spa is one circle among many: the villas are rounded, the jetties bend, and guests describe a round main pool.
The resort opened on 1 June 2021, the date of Marriott’s announcement, and it is drawn in curves: rounded villas, bending jetties, and the spa a complete ring over the water, set apart from the jetties that lead to the villas. The resort makes a point of the cardinal direction of each treatment room.
Outside the treatment room there is water everywhere: the sea and a private pool at the villa, and the Main Pool from 9am to 6:30pm. The gym, with a sauna and steam rooms, is open around the clock. The resort describes no thermal pool and gives no water temperatures.
There are 7 restaurants and bars. 5 are on the resort: Italian at La Locanda, Mediterranean at Beach Shack, Japanese at IWAU, Cantonese at Summer Pavilion, and the bar, EAU. Arabesque and Tum Tum are across the water at Fari Marina Village.
3 offers change what the rate covers, and none of them lists a spa treatment among its benefits. Stay Longer, for at least 7 nights between 16 June and 20 December 2026, includes breakfast at La Locanda and the shared return speedboat. Embrace Island Life gives half board and the same transfers for the same dates. Exceptional Dining runs to 23 December 2026, with breakfast at La Locanda and dinner at a restaurant of your choice.
When the booked rate does not include it, the speedboat is extra: US$1,027 net per adult and US$514 per child, there and back, with 10% service and 17% tax already in the fare. The resort does not say up to what age the child fare applies. At the spa it works the other way round, with service and tax added to the menu price.

The Main Pool, round as guests describe it, is open from 9am to 6:30pm, and every villa has a pool of its own. The resort does not say whether any of them is heated.

A booked treatment
For a 10am appointment the spa asks you to be there at 9:50am. A Bamford facial is US$280 for 60 minutes or US$360 for 90, before service and tax. Tell the spa about any health condition or allergy.

Lunch, at the resort or village
La Locanda serves lunch from 1pm to 3pm. Arabesque, open from noon to 3pm, is at Fari Marina Village, a free boat ride of 5 to 10 minutes as guests tell it.

The private suite
The Spa Suite is a private treatment room with its own sauna, steam room and aromatic bath: US$130 for 60 minutes, plus service and tax. A guest in June 2025 had a ritual that took in the steam room and sauna, a body scrub and a full body and head massage, and advises booking a treatment that comes with a spa suite.

Dinner and a final appointment
The spa is open until 9pm; confirm the last treatment time. Summer Pavilion serves Cantonese dinner from 6:30pm to 10pm, except on Tuesdays: a 60-minute treatment booked for 6pm still leaves time for dinner.
A Fari Islands holiday
The resort is in North Malé Atoll, 45 km from the airport by its own measure. One guest, in August 2025, wrote that their overwater villa was close to the spa.

The Ocean and Lagoon Pool Villas stand over the water, as the spa does; one guest, in August 2025, wrote that their overwater villa was close to it. Each measures 150 m², sleeps up to 3 and has its own pool, the Ocean facing sunrise and the Lagoon sunset. On the sand there are 2 one-bedroom beach villas, and for larger parties three 2-bedroom villas and the Estate. The spa itself takes bookings from age 16.

Patina is the neighbour on the Fari Islands, the Waldorf Astoria a resort that Ritz-Carlton guests set beside this one, and Cheval Blanc Randheli gives its spa an island of its own.
Patina’s spa measures 1,500 m², with watsu treatments and meditation spaces, and opens from 10am to 8pm. The Waldorf Astoria begins with a consultation with its Wellness Concierge; Cheval Blanc sets its Guerlain rituals on a private island given over to the spa. One guest in April 2026, weighing the Ritz-Carlton against the Waldorf Astoria and One&Only, kept the highest praise for its spa: “That was extraordinary. Every therapist I had was a 10/10.”

Before booking the spa
What is the shortest treatment listed here?
The Express Facial: 30 minutes for US$150 on the menu read on 5 October 2026, before 10% service and tax.
Is the Spa Suite an overnight room?
No. It is a private treatment room with a sauna, a steam room and an aromatic bath, booked for 60 minutes at US$130 before service and tax. You sleep in a villa.
Can I use the spa with my children?
From 16, the age at which the spa starts taking bookings. Younger children have Ritz Kids, for ages 4–12, which has a pool of its own.
What happens if I arrive late?
The treatment still ends at the booked time, so the minutes you miss are lost. The menu asks you to arrive 10 minutes early.
How much notice is needed to change an appointment?
At least 4 hours. Change or cancel later than that and the treatment is charged in full.
Does the half-board package include the spa?
No. Embrace Island Life and Exceptional Dining cover meals and shared return transfers, and neither lists a treatment among its benefits. Treatments are paid for from the menu.
Is there a day pass with a published price?
The resort’s pages list no day pass and no price for visitors from other islands. In May 2026 a guest staying at neighbouring Patina, about 10 minutes away by boat, wrote of coming over for dinner at Summer Pavilion. That account does not establish access to the spa.
