The Standard, High Line, Le Bain: hours, entry, the plunge pool and prices
Le Bain is the club on the top floor of The Standard, High Line: a discothèque with an indoor plunge pool and an artificial-lawn terrace above the Hudson. It opens at 4pm, at weekends at 2pm, and entry is from 21, normally without a cover except on special ticketed nights.

Who Le Bain is for
Why go
You want sunset over the Hudson with a drink in hand, or a night of music until 4am, normally without a cover, apart from special ticketed nights.
The billWhen to look elsewhere
You want a quiet rooftop or a guaranteed night: even hotel guests can be turned away.
Other rooftopsThe club at the top of the tower
Le Bain fills the top floor of the tower the hotel opened in 2009 over the High Line, and has since become one of the Meatpacking District’s best-known nights.
The hotel’s page describes it as the Standard’s top floor, with the view, the sunsets and the cocktails (the hotel); the events site speaks of a plunge pool that gives the place its name (events). Above the discothèque is the terrace, in summer covered in artificial grass, with a crêperie according to The Vanderlust.
The calendar changes weekly but has 2 fixed points, Wednesday and Thursday nights, and a sunset session every day (Le Bain’s site). There is no cover; Discotech mentions $10 to $30 at peak hours, which the club’s site rules out. In July 2024 the hotel’s recap described a party with fireworks and dips in the pool (the hotel).
One floor below, on the eighteenth, is the gold room many remember as Top of the Standard or the Boom Boom Room: it is now called BOOM and opens only for private events (the hotel). Google’s AI Overview still lumps “Le Bain & BOOM” together as one public club.
We read the scores on 4 October 2026: 3.4 out of 5 on Google from 2,087 reviews, 3.6 on Resy from 742, 3.1 on Yelp from 1,050. In the hotel’s reviews guests write about the sunset view, the cocktails and the music; there is a selection at the door, and entry is not guaranteed even to hotel guests.
The tower over the High Line, the Hudson from the rooms, Le Bain at sunset and by night
The glass tower raised on its piers over the High Line; the Hudson Studio’s tub facing the river; a room above the West Side Highway; Le Bain’s roof at sunset, its artificial lawn full of people; the same terrace by night, with Little Island lit up.

Sleeping under Le Bain
Le Bain is open to those not staying at the Standard; staying swaps the taxi for the lift, but brings the bass until 4am too.

For sleep, a low floor is the better bet: the Standard Queen, 23 m², faces the city or the river and has a tub; the Empire Suite, 81 m², is on the top guest floor, with 2 living rooms. On Google Hotels, read on 4 October 2026 for 2 adults, the cheapest night was $238 on 17 January 2027 and $432 on 18 October 2026, before 14.75% tax and $3.50 a night.

Hours and rules from each venue’s own page, read on 4 October 2026, and the minutes on foot from the Standard.
Anyone after a rooftop with water has the Gansevoort 6 minutes away, with a 45-foot heated pool open all year and a written dress code, but closed Mondays and Tuesdays and never past 1am; Somewhere Nowhere, on 25th Street, also has a pool and stays open until 4am Friday to Sunday; 230 Fifth looks onto the Empire State Building and already lists its New Year’s Eve. 3 things to correct: Le Bain charges no cover, whatever Discotech says; BOOM is not a public club, as Google implies; and the plunge pool is not a jacuzzi for 20, as The Vanderlust describes it.
