The choice, in short
When to look elsewhere
The restaurants have different opening days, and arrange pool or spa access separately from your meal at Oak.

Spices Kitchen & Terrace has an open kitchen and a cantilevered platform in the Bürgenstock Hotel, serving Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Thai cooking. Sushi, dim sum and curries share the menu. Its visitor timetable lists Wednesday–Sunday, noon–2pm and 6pm–10pm; terrace drinks are 2pm–4.30pm, weather permitting. Smart casual is recommended.
The Panorama Dining Window Seating package costs CHF188 per person. It guarantees a window seat, with 4 chef-selected sharing courses and a glass of champagne. Return travel on the MS Bürgenstock catamaran in second class and the funicular is included on the day of the reservation: present your ticket. The Peking Duck package is a different 5-course meal, CHF385 for 2 people, with CHF103 for a third; drinks are excluded, and the same return transport is included.
Oak Grill & Pool Patio, beside the Alpine Spa, cooks Swiss meat over wood, with dry-aged steak, burgers and salads. Its terrace overlooks the Hollywood Pool and mountains; the restaurant welcomes the public, and you should arrange pool or spa access separately. Its timetable lists lunch and dinner on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday lunch; weekend snacks run 2pm–4.30pm. Confirm your chosen service when reserving.
For Swiss cooking, Taverne serves rösti with raclette cheese, Älplermagronen and sausage-and-cheese salad. It opens Wednesday–Saturday 11.30am–9pm and Sunday 10am–6pm, with hot dishes from noon. Spend at least CHF50 per table here for 3 hours’ free parking in the Waldhotel garage. The Lakeview Bar offers panoramic lake windows, sandwiches, burgers and fillet steak; afternoon tea is by advance order.
Reserve ahead for an evening or weekend meal and tell the restaurant about dietary needs.
