Hotel del Coronado spa: treatment prices, the ocean-view pool and who may use it

The Spa & Salon at The Del presents Coronado as a wellness destination since 1888, for its ocean air and temperate climate, and its treatments use ingredients ‘derived from the land and sea’: seaweed above all, in oils, masks and whole leaves. The hotel’s FAQ describes men’s and women’s relaxation areas with a steam room, a jacuzzi and showers, and an outdoor terrace with a pool and a view of the ocean. They are for guests who have reserved a massage, a facial or a body treatment. Anyone who comes for the salon alone, for nails or hair, is asked for an additional facility fee to use them.

Prices are on the booking page, read once on 11 October 2026, and the spa’s own page states that menu prices include a 20% service charge. A 50-minute massage is $258 for Relaxation, for Ocean Wave, a Hawaiian lomi lomi done with the forearms, and for Beach Feet Reflexology; it is $270 for Muscle Recovery and for Voyager Aromatherapy, with a seaweed oil of your choice. The 80-minute versions cost $354 and $366, and $366 is also the price of Table Thai, given over loose clothes that you bring yourself. The two 100-minute rituals on sale, Ocean Essence and Mindful Dreams, are $522. The first is a walnut-shell body buff, a warm seaweed mask and a scalp massage; the second a full-body massage with rose quartz crystals, after a foot ritual in seaweed leaves.

Facials start at $270 for 50 minutes: Snow Mushroom, Collagen Infusion, Tropical Refresher and Oxygenating S’mores, which finishes with a marshmallow mask. Citrus Essence, a vitamin C facial, is $285. Cryo Sculpt and the Circadian Rhythm facial, 80 minutes each, are $390, and a HydraFacial is $390 for 50 minutes or $510 for 80. On the body, the seaweed and lavender buff is $270 and the two 80-minute wraps $396, one of them done with whole seaweed leaves. The prenatal massage, for the second and third trimesters, costs the same as Relaxation. In the salon a 40-minute manicure is $84, a 50-minute pedicure $102, a cut and style $138 and bridal styling $198.

In the Google reviews collected on 30 September 2026 few guests write about the spa at any length. One, writing in April 2026, treated herself to a spa day and found it ‘relaxing, luxurious’, and names the member of staff who looked after her. A guest who stayed a week and wrote in October 2025 calls the spa excellent and notes that it comes with a fitness room and a private pool. A 2-star review of the same month puts the spa in a list of places where the service was poor.

Up the coast in Los Angeles, the Hotel Bel-Air’s spa keeps a longer day than The Del’s, from 9am to 7pm, with 7 treatment rooms and steam rooms. The Beverly Hills Hotel opens from 10am to 6pm and has a duet suite for 2. The Peninsula Spa, on the fifth floor in Beverly Hills, stays open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday. Of the 4 spa pages, The Del’s is the one that lists a pool for treatment guests; at the other 3 the pool belongs to the hotel and is described as being for people staying there.
