Dhow & Anchor is the hotel’s gastropub, with terrace views, open every day from noon to midnight. Its menu is British from top to bottom: venison sausage rolls with plum ketchup, a Cumberland Scotch egg, beef and Guinness pie at AED 135, shepherd’s pie at AED 145 and beer-battered cod with triple-cooked chips and minted mushy peas at AED 145. 2 dishes come from further afield, a Brick Lane chicken tikka masala and a bunny chow of lamb rogan josh in a brioche bowl, AED 130 each. The burger is AED 125 and sticky toffee pudding with rum caramel AED 65; the 4 grills from the Josper oven, a 300 g Angus ribeye and a 180 g Wagyu tenderloin among them, are priced from AED 165 to AED 295. The pub serves pork, marked on the menu.

2 fixtures fill its weekend. On Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm, Spirits of D&A is 3 hours of free-flowing drinks with sharing platters of British dishes and live singers, at AED 295 a person. Every Sunday from noon to 10.30pm the Sunday roast starts at AED 135, with roast potatoes, root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy, and a vegetarian roast among the choices. Both offers run until 31 December 2026.

Fika is the room in the hotel’s photographs with glass walls and palms, open from 7am to 11pm. Until 4pm its menu carries a list called Nourish All Day: an açaí bowl, a buckwheat waffle with smoked salmon and poached eggs, an omelette made of chickpea flour for those who avoid eggs. From noon the Italian kitchen takes over with Roman-style pizzas from AED 90 to AED 135, a margherita at AED 95, paccheri in tomato sauce at AED 95, sea bass in a potato crust at AED 195, and 4 meat courses, a Wagyu striploin tagliata among them, from AED 135 to AED 210. An espresso is AED 45, a cappuccino AED 50, and a Peroni AED 55.

Pearl Lounge serves from 8am to midnight, and between 2pm and 5pm it lays out afternoon tea: a Mediterranean quiche, finger sandwiches of cucumber, egg mayonnaise, beef cecina and smoked salmon, then a strawberry tart, a mango and passion fruit choux, a chocolate dome, a tarte tropézienne, a vacherin and scones with strawberry jam. It costs AED 220 for one guest or AED 410 for 2 with tea or coffee, and AED 310 or AED 590 with a glass of champagne each. The same menu has a list served from noon to 10.30pm, with a club sandwich at AED 110 and a burger at AED 145.

By the water, the Pool Bar opens at 9am and closes at sunset, with food from noon to 6.30pm and a happy hour from 4pm to 6pm; you can sit there in beachwear. Its menu has 5 nibbles, hummus and tempura prawns among them, from AED 65 to AED 120, 2 burgers with fries at AED 110 and AED 125, 4 pizzas from AED 105 to AED 115, and a 250 g Angus striploin with fries at AED 220. The Creations Cakery, open from 9am to 8pm, is a café that makes cakes to order and delivers them across the UAE.

Nuska Beach, the restaurant on the sand, was marked «opening soon» on 11 October, with its reopening scheduled for 15 October 2026. Head chef Hasan Kayabasi, who has 15 years in kitchens and roots in Türkiye, cooks Mediterranean and Levantine food over fire; the menu goes from mezze such as a fava bean dip and baba ghanoush, at AED 55 to AED 65, to manti, Turkish ravioli of braised oxtail, at AED 155, a Wagyu burger at AED 185 and a lobster linguine at AED 360. A 1 kg sea bass baked in salt takes about 45 minutes. Lucia’s, the Italian restaurant themed on Capri, is run independently of the hotel and opens from 5pm to midnight.

Guests’ accounts from 2026 follow the works. One who wrote in August praised Fika and Dhow & Anchor for the food and the service, and ate the buffet in the conference centre, where breakfast was being served: the selection was wide and the coffee came from an espresso machine, but the hall was large and noisy when busy. A family writing in July called their half-board dinners excellent. 2 guests in June were less happy with the same plan: one found water charged separately at dinner and a supplement on some dishes, the other learnt there was no buffet dinner on Sunday. A visitor in January, who was not staying at the hotel, came for afternoon tea, praised the service and found the tray nearly all sweet.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel restaurants: your questions

How many restaurants does Jumeirah Beach Hotel have?

The dining page lists 10 names. On 11 October 2026 it marked Nuska Beach «opening soon» and Kitchen Connection and Floor 24 «temporarily closed», and 6 of the others had a page showing opening hours. Bahia Bar, tagged Spanish, appears on the list with no description and no link.

Is the buffet at Jumeirah Beach Hotel open?

Kitchen Connection, the buffet restaurant, is under renovation until the end of October. During the works a guest writing in August 2026 found the buffet, breakfast included, in the conference centre.

When does Nuska Beach reopen?

Its page gives 15 October 2026 as the scheduled date. Smart casual dress applies.

How much is afternoon tea at Jumeirah Beach Hotel?

From AED 220 for one guest at Pearl Lounge, daily from 2pm to 5pm. The offer is dated until 30 December 2026.

Does half board cover every dish?

No, by the menus. Fika’s prints «AED 75 Supplement Charges For HB» on marked dishes, and Nuska Beach’s stars the dishes «not included in Half-Board», the lobster linguine and the Wagyu striploin among them. The pages read do not describe the half-board package itself: which restaurants it covers, and on which nights, is a question to put to the hotel.

Is there a dress code?

It changes from room to room. The pub, Fika and the lounge ask for casual dress; the beach restaurant, Lucia’s and the rooftop bar ask for smart casual.

Do the restaurants serve alcohol?

Yes. Fika’s list has wine and beer, and Dhow & Anchor builds its Saturday afternoon on free-flowing drinks. Floor 24, the rooftop bar, is for guests of 21 and over, and closed for now.

Can I order a birthday cake at the hotel?

Yes, from Creations Cakery, in the hotel or online at creationscakery.com.
