La Mamounia spa in Marrakech: the hammams, the prices and who may book
La Mamounia spa in Marrakech turns on its hammams, 2 traditional ones and a private one, where the 60-minute «La Mamounia» ritual of black soap, kessa glove and ghassoul wrap costs 1,300 dirhams. Non-residents can book treatments, subject to availability; the indoor pool is kept for the hotel’s own guests.

The choice, in short
When to look elsewhere
Visitors cannot use the pools or the gym, and 2 reviewers, in September 2025 and June 2026, describe being refused at the gate.
Other Marrakech spasMarble, steam and 4 ways to take the hammam
Treatment rooms, hammams and an indoor pool share one spa. Its menu, read on 11 October 2026, prices everything in dirhams.
The spa lists 2 traditional hammams and a private one, an indoor pool heated and treated with ozone, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a relaxation room with catering service, a hair salon with a barber and a nail salon. On the treatment rooms the page gives 2 counts: its prose has 10, 3 of them doubles, and its list of facilities has 10 cabins «including 2 duos». The brands are Valmont, Augustinus Bader and marocMaroc. The page gives the hours as 9am to 9pm, and the menu’s terms put the last appointment at 8pm. The spa covers 2,500 m².
4 hammams are on the menu. «La Mamounia», 60 minutes for 1,300 MAD, is the traditional sequence: black soap with neroli and eucalyptus, an intense scrub with the kessa glove, then a wrap of ghassoul over the whole body. «Evasion», 60 minutes for 1,500 MAD, uses marocMaroc’s amber-honey exfoliating paste and an orange-blossom shower milk. The 2 long ones last 120 minutes: «Royal» Signature, the La Mamounia hammam followed by a relaxing massage, at 2,500 MAD, and «Light on Body», Evasion followed by a ceremonial massage, at 2,800 MAD.
The house massage, «La Mamounia», relaxing or toning, is 1,500 MAD for 60 minutes and 2,000 MAD for 90; the massages page says it is given with argan oil. Hot stones cost 1,600 and 2,200 MAD for the same lengths, 4 hands 2,400 MAD for 60 minutes, the mother-to-be massage 1,500 MAD and a 45-minute foot massage 1,100 MAD. A candle massage from marocMaroc, «Sensory Awakening», is 1,600 MAD for 60 minutes.
Faces go by brand. Valmont’s 5 facials are 2,000 MAD for 60 minutes or 2,500 MAD for 75; Sunshine Radiance Regeneration, created for Marrakech’s climate to restore skin after the sun, is 2,500 and 3,000 MAD for the same lengths. The marocMaroc facials are 1,500 MAD for 60 minutes and the Augustinus Bader method facial 2,500 MAD for 75. The dearest treatment we found on the menu is the one created for the hotel’s centenary, head to toe with Valmont’s Élixir des Glaciers range: 90 minutes, 3,600 MAD.
For 2 there is the Private Ochre Suite, a duo suite with its own jacuzzi: access is 500 MAD per person on top of the treatments chosen, and the jacuzzi is at your disposal for 30 minutes beforehand. The spa’s page describes a private area with its own hammam, a double treatment room, a jacuzzi and a relaxation area, for couples, mothers and daughters, or friends.
The Kid’s Spa takes children and teenagers from 6 to 16 for a classic manicure, a foot beauty treatment or a back and shoulder massage. In the salon a shampoo and blow-dry starts from 250 MAD, a traditional shave 400 MAD and a 30-minute express manicure 600 MAD.
Guests who went in write about the hammam first. One, in September 2025, called an hour of «shower and scrub» an «other-world experience»; 2 friends who spent 2 hours there in May 2026, on a hammam and a massage, praised the kindness and talent of the women who looked after them. A guest writing in French in January 2025 was delighted with her therapist and found the premises a little dated: blocked drains, a broken tap, loose tiling. 2 reviewers, in September 2025 and June 2026, describe being refused at the gate when they came for the spa without a room, and a guest in April 2025 wrote of a 6- to 12-hour delay in replies from the concierge and the spa.

7 things to settle before the hammam
- Reserve ahead, and say whether you are staying
From outside, telephone +212 524 388 600, write to lespa@mamounia.com or send the online form, which asks if you are a resident of the hotel. Non-residents are asked for a card number at the time of booking.
- Have the confirmation to hand
Of the 2 reviewers stopped at the gate, one had come without a booking, to ask and reserve. The other, in June 2026, was told a private event kept visitors out, telephoned the spa, which «confirmed there was availability», and writes that «once inside» its team was dismissive. The dress code printed on the booking page asks for elegant attire in the restaurants and bars and forbids flip-flops; backpacks and large bags go to the Ksar Gate cloakroom.
- Come 15 minutes early
The spa recommends arriving 15 minutes before the appointment, to enjoy the relaxation room. A late arrival shortens the treatment.
- A swimsuit for the jacuzzi
Robes, slippers and disposable underwear are provided in the changing rooms. A swimsuit must be worn in the jacuzzi and the pools.
- Know who may swim
The indoor pool, the gym, the tennis courts and the padel court are reserved for resident guests by the menu’s terms, and the hotel’s Q&A says of the pool that it is exclusively for residents. In the indoor pool the minimum age is 18, or 16 with an adult.
- Shave 2 hours earlier
The spa suggests that men shave 2 hours or more before a facial.
- Cancel 6 hours ahead
Tell the spa 6 hours in advance, during its opening hours, to avoid being charged in full. Packages and private coaching need 24 hours.

La Mamounia spa: your questions
Can non-residents use La Mamounia spa?
Yes, for treatments and by booking. The hotel’s Q&A says the spa «is accessible to non-residents subject to availability», and the spa menu gives a telephone number and an e-mail address for calls «from outside» and asks non-residents for a card number. The indoor pool, the gym, the tennis courts and the padel court stay with the hotel’s guests.
How much is the hammam at La Mamounia?
The 60-minute «La Mamounia» ritual is 1,300 MAD and «Evasion» 1,500 MAD. With a massage afterwards, 120 minutes in all, the price is 2,500 or 2,800 MAD.
Does a treatment include the pool?
For a hotel guest the indoor pool is there before or after an appointment, as the sports page suggests. A visitor does not swim: the menu’s terms reserve it for resident guests.
Is there a day pass?
No day at the pool is sold. To the question «What is the cost of a day at the pool at La Mamounia?» the hotel’s Q&A answers that the pool is exclusively reserved for its resident guests, and it adds that the guests of people staying may not use it either. The spa pages and the menu read on 11 October 2026 list no pass of their own. In Marrakech the Mandarin Oriental has a Wellness Day Pass with a treatment, lunch and access to its pools.
When is the spa open?
Every day from 9am, with the last appointment at 8pm, by the menu’s terms; the spa’s page gives 9am to 9pm. The outdoor pool, for residents, runs from 8am to sunset, and hours may change during Ramadan.
Can children have treatments?
Yes: the Kid’s Spa is for ages 6 to 16, with a classic manicure, a foot beauty treatment or a back and shoulder massage among the choices.
What should I wear?
The spa lends a robe and slippers and asks for a swimsuit in the jacuzzi. In the gym and on the courts, which are for residents, sports clothes and sports shoes are required.
