Across the year

What a night at W Barcelona costs from October 2026 to September 2027

One reading of 321 nights, the sellers of 2 of them, and the tax the law adds.

Every figure here comes from Google Hotels’ calendar for one night and 2 adults, read on 11 October 2026: 321 nights with a price between 12 October 2026 and 6 September 2027. Each is the lowest price Google showed for that night. Google does not say which room it is for, or whether the tourist tax is inside, so it serves to compare dates and is never a rate to count on at the moment of booking. Month by month the median night ran €499 in what was left of October, €412 in November, €398 in December, €412 in January and €390 in February. March is the floor of the year, at €338. Then the sea season lifts it: €432 in April, €502 in May, €534 in June and €482 in July, before August eases to €414.

The cheap nights have a pattern. In March 2027, from the 7th on, every night from Sunday to Thursday showed between €320 and €354, and the Fridays and Saturdays between €360 and €448. A second quiet stretch runs from 20 November to 30 December 2026: 41 nights, none above €472, with Sunday 20 December at €336. The first 25 nights of August 2027 held between €372 and €462. The dear nights are scattered and steep. Monday 26 October 2026 showed €1,458, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November €1,314 and €1,350, New Year’s Eve €1,533. In 2027, Monday 24 May reached €4,858 and the Tuesday after it €1,980; Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 June €1,596 and €2,068; Thursday 1 and Friday 2 July €1,340 and €1,512. From 26 August to 6 September every one of the 12 nights stood between €4,020 and €4,481, about 10 times the nights before them.

We had read the same calendar on 4 October 2026, and most of the nights we had kept barely moved in a week: 10 November went from €444 to €438, 15 November from €378 to €384, 20 December from €330 to €336, while 12 January and 8 March stayed at €364 and €320 and New Year’s Eve at €1,533. One night more than doubled: 24 May 2027 went from €2,088 to €4,858. The sellers tell the rest. For 10 November, on 4 October, the cheapest seller asked €444 and the link to W Barcelona itself €492. For 12 October, on the 11th, the calendar’s €530 was Super.com’s price; the hotel’s own link showed €606 for a Premier room with a king bed and a marina view, as did Booking.com and Expedia.

What Google leaves out is set by law and by the hotel. The Catalan tax agency lists, for a 5-star hotel in Barcelona city, a general rate of €7 per person per night from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, and a city surcharge of €5 that rises to €6 on 1 April 2027 and to €7 a year later. Take the cheapest night, Monday 8 March 2027. If the tax is not already inside Google’s figure, which Google does not say, the sum is €320 for the room and €24 of tax for 2 adults: €344 before breakfast. The same agency notes that when a stay is reserved and paid for in advance, tax included, the rate in force on the day of booking applies. Breakfast is served at FIRE and W Lounge for a fee; Expedia, read on 4 October 2026, put the buffet at about €35 a person. The hotel’s car park costs €30 a day; the same page lists valet parking as complimentary for guests, where Expedia’s fee line of 4 October 2026 put valet parking at €30 a day.

One thing changes what a low price buys this winter. Marriott’s page for the hotel says that the rooms and suites of the sail tower are finished, and that from 26 October through late spring 2027 the second phase of the renovation moves to the ground-floor public spaces and to the guestrooms on floors 1 to 6. A guest who booked through a card’s travel portal and wrote in September 2026 was given the 1st floor, and paid €100 a night more for a higher one, breakfast included. Another, in November 2025, had reserved at €650 a night for the sea and was put on the 3rd floor with a city view, because of the works.

Elsewhere in the Google reviews the sums guests give sit above the calendar’s floor. One wrote in July 2026 of paying more than €500 a night, another in June 2026 of around €600, a third in May 2026 of a non-refundable rate at €500 a night, which was neither refunded nor moved to another name when the stay was cut short. A guest in January 2026 thought of adding a night and judged €550 too much for the room as it was. 2 older accounts name charges at the desk: €150 a night for a child’s rollaway bed, in September 2025, and a €400 deposit with a further €50, in August 2025.

5 things to settle before paying for W Barcelona

  • Aim for March, or for late November and December

From 7 March 2027 every Sunday-to-Thursday night showed €354 or less; from 20 November to 30 December 2026 none passed €472.

  • Look at the nights either side of yours

A single date can cost several times its neighbours: 23 May 2027 showed €426 and 24 May €4,858.

  • Add €12 per person per night

    That is €24 a night for 2 until 31 March 2027; from 1 April 2027 the city’s share rises by €1.

  • Ask which floor the rate puts you on

Until late spring 2027 the works are on floors 1 to 6. The renovated Sky rooms are sold as 10th floor and above.

  • Count breakfast and parking separately

Breakfast is charged, at FIRE or W Lounge; self-parking is €30 a day, and valet parking is listed as complimentary for guests. The IGNITE YOUR ESCAPE offer puts dinner and breakfast for 2 at FIRE, with parking, inside the rate.
