Claridge’s prices per night: Google’s year, month by month, and what the hotel’s own page asks
Claridge’s prices ran from £706 a night, for 21 March 2027, to £3,194 for 12 December 2026 on Google Hotels’ calendar for 2 adults, read on 11 October 2026. On top, the hotel’s offer pages quote a 5% discretionary service charge; VAT is already inside.

The choice, in short
Why choose Claridge’s
A stay between January and May 2027, when the median night on Google was £782.
What a rate includesWhen to look elsewhere
The last quarter of 2026 runs far higher, and the hotel’s offer pages put a 5% discretionary service charge on top of quoted rates.
Google and the hotelWhat a night at Claridge’s costs from October 2026 to September 2027
One reading of 352 nights, then the hotel’s own page for 3 of them.
The spine of this page is Google Hotels’ calendar for one night and 2 adults, read on 11 October 2026: 352 nights with a price between 12 October 2026 and 30 September 2027. Each figure is the lowest price Google showed for that night. The calendar names neither the room nor the seller, and gives no word on a service charge, so read it as a floor for comparing dates. Half of the 352 nights stood at £867 or less. The median night was £1,268 in what was left of October, about £1,137 in November and £1,325 in December. Then the floor drops: £782 in January, about £785 in February, £782 in March and in April, £798 in May. June climbs to £1,110 and July sits at £1,013, before August and September settle at £867.
The cheapest stretch is short and exact: from 18 to 27 March 2027 all 10 nights showed between £706 and £728, with Sunday 21 March the lowest of the year. Around it lies a long plateau. From 3 January to 17 March, 63 of 74 nights stood between £775 and £812, and the highest of the 11 exceptions sit in February: £851 to £920 over 12 to 14 February, then £925, £1,299, £1,288 and £1,183 from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February. The dear nights sit in the last quarter of 2026. Only 4 of the 352 passed £2,000: Tuesday 13 October at £2,531, Saturday 21 November at £2,003, Thursday 10 December at £2,436 and Saturday 12 December at £3,194. Across the whole reading a Saturday’s median was £1,013 and a Friday’s £944, against £867 for every other day of the week.
We then opened Claridge’s own booking page for 3 of those nights, the same day. For Monday 16 November 2026 it listed a Superior Room from £1,122 a night, a Mayfair Room from £1,173 and a Claridge’s Room from £1,428, up to a Brook Suite from £6,120; Google’s lowest for that night was £1,012. For Sunday 21 March 2027, the cheapest night of Google’s year, the Superior Room began at £867 and the Mayfair Room at £944. For Saturday 12 December 2026 the page offered 3 categories and no more: a Deluxe Junior Suite from £3,540, a Terrace Junior Suite from £3,900 and a Mayfair Terrace Suite from £5,400. On the dearest night of the calendar, the cheapest thing on Claridge’s own list was a junior suite.
Prices here move quickly. We had read the same calendar on 28 September 2026, and 13 days later each of the 4 nights we had kept was dearer: 15 October went from £791 to £1,381, 22 October from £1,020 to £1,546, 16 November from £751 to £1,012 and 24 November from £1,254 to £1,932. For the night of 12 October 2026 the second reading also listed who was selling. The calendar’s £1,324 was Super.com’s price; Luxury Escapes showed £1,425, Expedia and Hotels.com £1,520, and the link to Claridge’s itself £1,620 for a Superior Room, the same as Booking.com.
What is added to a figure is one charge, and it is discretionary. Maybourne’s booking terms state that prices are inclusive of sales taxes; among the group’s hotels they name a city tax for Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and surcharges for California, and the terms we read do not mention a city tax for London. 3 offer pages (The Art of Dining, Stay Four Longer and the Christmas stay) add a line the general terms do not have: rates are quoted per room, per night, inclusive of VAT and subject to a 5% discretionary service charge. The sum that follows is ours: if the same 5% is applied to the Superior Room’s from-price for 16 November, £1,122, it is £56.10, and the night comes to £1,178.10 as long as the charge stays on the bill. The booking page did not name the rate behind a from-price, nor show whether it can be cancelled; the terms leave cancellation to room type, rate and travel period.
Guests who put a number on their stay in Google reviews mostly do so when something fell short. One, in June 2026, wrote of paying $1,000 a night for a room that was fairly small, looked onto an interior courtyard and had no coffee or tea in it. Another, in October 2025, counted €1,000 a night for a Claridge’s Room that had no view, asked to change, and ended in a Claridge’s Studio. A third, in December 2025, set the entry at £1,300 a night at least and missed a lobby where residents could wait for their room. 2 reviews posted on the same day in January 2026, which may come from one party, tell of being asked to settle balances of £150 and £200 in the course of 7-night stays; the terms say stays of 7 days or more are settled weekly. And one guest, in March 2026, who had «paid his way in for a night», wrote that Claridge’s has a way of making you feel the most important person in the world.
5 things to settle before paying for Claridge’s
- Start between January and May
With free dates, begin at 18 to 27 March 2027, then anywhere from 3 January to the end of May: 114 of those 149 nights showed £800 or less. Across the year a Saturday’s median stood £146 above a Sunday’s.
- Find out which room the price is for
A calendar figure comes without a room. On Claridge’s own page for 16 November the Superior Room, 35 m² for 2, began £51 below the Mayfair Room and £306 below the Claridge’s Room.
- Ask whether 5% is added to your rate
3 offer pages quote rates with VAT inside and a 5% discretionary service charge on top. If it is applied to a night of £1,122, that is £56.10: our sum.
- Read the cancellation line before confirming
Every reservation needs a guarantee: a credit card, a deposit, or a pre-approved travel agent or company. The notice needed to cancel, and the charge for a no-show or an early departure, are set out in the confirmation.
- Decide whether you want breakfast in the rate
Every stay comes with the spa, the pool and the fitness centre, and a mini-bar with complimentary soft drinks. Breakfast is part of The Art of Dining, with £100 a day to spend in the restaurants and bars on a room or a Junior Suite, £300 on any other suite.

The room behind the lowest figure

Google’s calendar does not name the room. Where Google did list rooms, for 12 October 2026, each of the 3 sellers that named them opened with a Superior Room, and on Claridge’s own page the Superior is the first of 17 categories with a from-price: 35 m² with a king bed for 2, looking onto the courtyard. The Mayfair Room, 40 m², came next at £51 more for 16 November, then the Claridge’s Room, 50 m² and the first to sleep 3. Suites add butler service. The Residence and The Penthouse carry no price online and are booked by email or telephone.
The hotel, rooms and guest reviewsThe same night on Google and on Claridge’s own page
4 nights read on both, on 11 October 2026.
On each of the 3 nights we opened, Claridge’s own from-price stood above Google’s lowest: by £161 for 21 March 2027, by £110 for 16 November and by £346 for 12 December 2026. Google’s figure is the cheapest of every seller it lists, and for 12 October that seller was Super.com, £296 under the hotel’s own link.
Neither column is a total. A fair comparison sets one room against the same room, with the service charge and the same cancellation terms on both sides.

Claridge’s prices: your questions
How much is a night at Claridge’s?
On Google Hotels, read on 11 October 2026 for 2 adults, the lowest price of a night ran from £706 to £3,194 over the following year. Claridge’s own page listed a Superior Room from £1,122 for 16 November 2026 and from £867 for 21 March 2027.
Which month is cheapest at Claridge’s?
March 2027 held the 10 lowest nights of the reading, from the 18th to the 27th. By median, January, March and April tie at £782, with February at about £785 and May at £798.
Do Claridge’s prices include VAT and service?
VAT, yes: the booking terms say prices include sales taxes. Service is separate, and the Christmas page spells it out: its rates include 20% VAT and exclude a 5% discretionary service charge.
Is breakfast included at Claridge’s?
It comes with The Art of Dining, a daily English breakfast for 2 in The Foyer & Reading Room or in the room, and with the Christmas stay. The booking page’s list of what every stay includes leaves it out; a reviewer who breakfasted there in September 2026 put the full English in the Foyer at about £45.
How much is the deposit, and can I cancel?
Every booking needs a guarantee: a credit card, or a deposit, which can be sent by wire transfer. How late you can cancel changes with the rate, and the confirmation says so. The In Advance rate is paid in full at booking and cannot be changed or refunded.
How much is Claridge’s in December and at Christmas?
In the reading of 11 October 2026 December’s median night was £1,325. Google showed no one-night price for 24 or 25 December; the hotel sells a 3-night Christmas stay arriving on 23 or 24 December, with Christmas lunch, breakfast each morning and a 2pm check-out.
Is it cheaper to book Claridge’s direct?
For the night of 12 October 2026 Google’s cheapest seller undercut the hotel’s own link by £296. The hotel’s site has offers of its own, among them 15% off 14 days ahead and a fourth night free. Set 2 totals side by side before choosing.
Are weekends dearer at Claridge’s?
A little. Over the 352 nights the median Saturday was £1,013 and the median Friday £944; Sunday to Thursday each came to £867.
