Dante breakfast
Dante serves breakfast daily from 8am to 11am. It is the alternative to the residents-only Foyer breakfast.
Among Claridge’s restaurants, Dante Mayfair serves Italian-inspired lunch and dinner, while the Foyer is the choice for afternoon tea and a traditional hotel dining room. For a shorter visit, the Art Café takes walk-ins and Claridge’s Bakery sells British bakes on Brook’s Mews.

Dante Mayfair brings the New York institution, founded in 1915, to Davies Street. Its September menu includes Carlingford oysters, shrimp cocktail, £75 lobster linguine and £36 half chicken alla diavola. A £29 smash burger and £27 fazzoletti pasta are also on the menu.
The Foyer & Reading Room is the grand hotel setting for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Tea occupies the afternoon, from 2.45pm to 5.30pm; lunch is an earlier sitting, noon to 1.30pm, and dinner starts at 7pm. For breakfast here, you must be staying at the hotel.
At the Art Café, diners sit at John Pawson’s marble communal table. The menu includes crêpes, galettes, bagels, croque monsieur and madeleines. Downstairs is the Perrotin gallery, with free entry. The café takes no bookings.
For food to take away, Claridge’s Bakery on Brook’s Mews pairs Richard Hart’s bread with British bakes from Frédéric Doncel: sourdough bloomers, custard tarts and Chelsea buns. L’Épicerie seats up to 14 in the kitchens for a private chef’s-table meal.

If your group includes children or vegans, check Dante’s separate children’s and vegan menus alongside the main à-la-carte list. The restaurant also has a terrace menu; ask which table and menu your reservation covers if sitting outside is the attraction. Its Davies Street setting and aperitivo-style cocktails make it a different visit from taking tea inside the Foyer. For a brief stop without a booking, the Art Café’s crêpes, bagels and madeleines are the more direct choice; if you plan to visit the gallery as well, check its opening times for the day of your meal.
