BASIN requires a valid hotel reservation and a timed access pass; the treatment spa has its own facilities and rules.

Fairmont Spa is a boutique treatment spa; BASIN Glacial Waters is the hotel’s separate thermal bathing destination.
Fairmont Spa sits one level below the main hotel lobby and has 8 treatment rooms. Its brochure is explicit about the setting: it has no aquatic facilities, changing rooms or showers, except where related to the treatment chosen. Book here when you want massage, a facial, body work or nail care. The published hours run later at the weekend, and the hotel strongly encourages reservations, so choose the appointment before filling the day with other plans.
The massage menu gives several ways to use the appointment. Holistic Relaxation is available for 60 or 90 minutes, with clary sage and lavender in its description; Muscular Wellbeing also has 60- and 90-minute options. Back to Health concentrates on the back, neck and shoulders over 30 or 60 minutes. Alpine Tranquility is a 45-minute scalp ritual that begins with neck and décolleté massage and uses warm neroli-blossom and cooling mint oils. Choose by the area you want worked on and the time you want to spend.
For a longer body ritual, Glacier Lake lasts 2.5 hours and moves through dry brushing, a body scrub, a hydrating wrap, scalp massage and full-body massage. Boreal Forest, also 2.5 hours, includes exfoliation, Hungarian moor mud, scalp work, a back massage and an express facial. The shorter Botanical Serenity Renewal lasts 75 minutes, combining a salt exfoliation, warm compresses, a back massage and a magnesium-infused moisturiser. These are the sequences the spa describes; ask the team which suits your preferences before choosing the duration alone.
Facials use Omorovicza or Kerstin Florian products, with the brand named beside individual treatments. Golden Skin Therapy lasts 90 minutes and combines cleansing, exfoliation, massage and a mask. The introductory Signature Sculpting Meets Kerstin Florian facial takes 45 minutes, including analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and hydration. The booking is for that skincare appointment, so anyone who wants a pool session as well should arrange the bathing part of the day separately.
BASIN is the thermal option for overnight guests. Designed by Matteo Thun, it combines different-temperature pools, heat rooms and resting spaces, with an indoor-outdoor setting over the lake. The hotel describes a waterfall, a plunge and an outdoor pool; the dedicated venue site lays out hot, cold, rest and breath as the sequence. Come for time moving between water and stillness, and choose a timed pass through BASIN’s own reservation link.
The BASIN offers page read on 17 October 2026 keeps entry exclusive to overnight guests and requires a valid hotel reservation. Its terms set an age minimum of 18 and make each pass a single-use, timed session. A pass becomes non-refundable within 4 hours of the chosen session. These are useful rules to settle before reserving a treatment nearby: the thermal visit is its own booking, and you need both the room reservation and the time available to use it.
The treatment spa welcomes guests from age 16, with a parent or guardian present at check-in and check-out under its brochure. It asks you to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment and to avoid using phones and other communication devices inside. Robes and slippers are provided; hotel guests are encouraged to arrive in their room’s robe and slippers. The cancellation deadline is 24 hours, with the full charge applying to late cancellation and no-shows. Keep the appointment and the travel time to it together in the day’s plan.
