With small children, on the Sundays it serves brunch, Crans Ambassador makes more sense: there’s a supervised playroom, and children aged 5 and under eat free.

The Grand Sunday Buffet¹ lines up dishes and seasonal creations, carefully presented, and ends with a selection of desserts. The hard part is knowing where to start.

A guest in August 2023¹⁴ found it very varied, with delicious desserts, and says the staff advised her well around her allergies. If you have one, say so when you book.

The hotel is decorated with work by Tylek & Tylecek¹⁰. From 26 December to 2 January, Reid Masselink’s mountain landscapes² join them: the 4,000-metre peaks that close the horizon from Crans-Montana.

The World Championships Sundays
The Alpine World Ski Championships⁴ are held in Crans-Montana from 1 to 14 February. The buffet runs every Sunday the hotel is open, so on those 2 as well: with the resort full, I’d ask for a table early.
Easter
The Grand Easter Buffet² is a spring buffet with a chocolatey touch, from 12.30pm, on the last Sunday of the season.
