For Madrid I’d look at December: a 5-star costs €379 a night for 2, against €599 in September. I’d come before the holidays and pack a coat; New Year has a different bill.

When to go to Madrid

December is among the coldest and wettest months¹, so leave room for indoor stops. For the Grand Prix weekend, 10–12 September 2027², I’d ask for a quote for your dates.

What a weekend changes

The month matters more than a weekend here: a usual 5-star night rises from €469 on Sunday to Thursday to €498 on Friday and Saturday.

What if I can only come in summer?

I would compare August at a 4-star, at €165 a night. Many residents are away and the days are very hot¹, so I would plan my walks for the evening.
