Conrad Athens The Ilisian, with the former Hilton’s facade and terraces on the lower floors

In town or on the coast

Mandarin Oriental is planned on the seafront, a 15-minute drive from the centre: consider it for the coast, with journeys into town to allow for.⁴

YOTELPAD’s announced locations are Iras in Neos Kosmos, Miltiadou in Monastiraki and Peiraios in Omonoia. The last will have a terrace overlooking the city.¹

Opened since April 2026

If you go sooner

One hotel from the guide if you travel sooner.

The peninsula from the air: green-roofed bungalows among the pines, coves of rock and sand on turquoise water and, beyond, the Arion building.

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens

For Athens with a beach, on a peninsula of pine trees and coves.⁵

The trade-off

The Acropolis is about 30 minutes away by car: the centre is too far to explore on foot from the hotel.⁵

Why choose it

Beaches and outdoor pools close for the winter.⁵
