New hotels in Phuket: Mai Khao, Layan and Kata
Next up is the Rixos Water World Phuket, which opens in early 2028. Mai Khao is gathering resorts in the island’s north; Layan and Kata offer other starting points for your holiday.

Allow for the distances
From Radisson Layan, the airport is about 30 minutes away; Boat Avenue, Porto de Phuket and Laguna are within a 15-minute drive. Consider it if you want to go out for dinner.5
Rixos Water World will follow the renovation of a resort already managed by Ennismore: the plans include more than 600 rooms and villas and an integrated waterpark.2
