For 2 couples, start with the floor plan

Versailles Tower’s rooms and suites have been refurbished. I would start by choosing an exact category in that tower, then checking the view, beds and any outdoor space. A reservation at Fontainebleau alone does not identify the room you have in mind.¹³

Bleau Royale sits on the top floor of Versailles with Atlantic views. Its 2 king bedrooms share a suite with 3 full marble bathrooms, a living area, a 6-seat dining table and a wet bar. For 4 people, those shared spaces are worth comparing with the price of 2 separate rooms.²

The whirlpool bath belongs to the main bathroom. Before 2 couples divide the suite and the bill, I would ask for the floor plan and photographs of the bathrooms each will use. Sharing a large suite works better when everyone knows which bedroom they are taking.²
