A 5-star costs CNY 2,404 from July to September, the 3 dearest months. July and August are hot and humid1. For summer I’d ask for a quote for the nights you want; I’d be cautious about 3 months showing the same price this far ahead.

Weekends cost less at the 4-stars

At a 4-star I would try Friday or Saturday: CNY 577 a night against CNY 651 on Sunday–Thursday, between November and July. At the 5-stars, between November and September, moving days changes little: CNY 2,276 either way.
