Another Colorado option

Above the golf course, with the mountains beyond

The lounge is part of the reason to leave time after the therapist has finished.

The spa’s own page puts the view at the centre of the visit: the Mountain View Lounge looks across the resort’s golf courses towards the Rocky Mountains. It is shared by all genders, with light refreshments and a terrace. The steam room, sauna, oxygen room and another lounge sit within the gender-specific areas. For a couple, that gives the afternoon a natural shape: meet in the view lounge around separate time in the changing-room facilities.

Choose the massage by the pressure and the tools you want. The Swedish treatment uses light pressure and long strokes. The Signature begins with an inhalation, adds aromatherapy across the body and scalp, and finishes with warm towels and a foot massage. Deep Tissue uses firmer, targeted pressure; Ashiatsu gives the therapist overhead bars for balance while working with bare feet. Those are materially different appointments even when the duration is the same.

The heated tools have their own appeal after a day outdoors. Bamboo massage uses warmed sticks in different sizes; the Poultice massage uses heated herbal bundles. The hotel offers both hot stones and individually chosen aromatherapy oil as upgrades to an 80-minute Swedish, Signature or Deep Tissue treatment, each at $30 on the list read on 16 October 2026. Choose the technique first, then decide whether an upgrade adds something you actually want.

A body treatment can put the emphasis on the skin. Ginger Lime Awakening uses ginger root, lime oil and sugar; Almond Orange Scrub & Massage combines a fruit-and-nut scrub, warm towels and a light massage. Coconut Cream Delight starts with exfoliating mitts and includes pressure-point work on the face, ears and scalp. The High Altitude Mud Wrap uses a dry brush, green-tea-infused mud and a vitamin C serum. The menu’s descriptions are useful for identifying ingredients to discuss if you have allergies.

The oxygen room is part of the spa’s Colorado character, alongside the Himalayan-salt sauna and eucalyptus steam. The amenities page describes oxygen wafting through the room and a fireplace lounge with a cabin-like atmosphere. Treat these as places to sit and unwind; the hotel’s language about altitude is its own description. Tell the spa about a health concern before choosing heat or a treatment, as its FAQ asks.

Make room around the appointment

  • Name the treatment and the pressure

Call the spa with your preferred service, length and time. Mention sensitivities, allergies, medication, pregnancy or nursing during that conversation so the therapist can assess suitability before the visit.

  • Go to the Golf Club building

The spa is on its 3rd floor, in the southeast corner of the resort. Arriving early gives you time for the changing rooms and lounge; a late arrival reduces the appointment.

  • Leave food downstairs

Food is barred from the 3rd floor where massages and body services take place. Plan lunch elsewhere on the property, then come upstairs ready for a quiet appointment.

  • Meet in the Mountain View Lounge

The co-ed room and terrace give companions somewhere to spend time together. Steam, sauna, oxygen and the gender-specific lounge are included when you have a booked spa or salon service.

  • Call within the right window

Give 24 hours for a single service or 48 hours for several services or a package. Inside that window the cancellation fee is 50%; a missed appointment is charged in full. A same-day reschedule carries a $45 change fee.

The hotel’s spa page also points guests towards a Fitness Center and organised wellness activities. The photograph here shows yoga on the terrace, with lawn and mountains behind. If you want a class as well as a massage, ask for the activity schedule when arranging the appointment and leave space between them; the spa’s advertised opening hours alone do not tell you when a particular class takes place.

The hotel, rooms and guest reviews

Colorado hotels for a spa trip

Each resort’s own spa page was read on 16 October 2026; the settings range from central Denver to mountain soaking.

The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs is a different Colorado spa trip, built around geothermal soaking. Read its current bathing and accommodation options before committing to an overnight stay for thermal water. The Broadmoor’s particular attraction here is the combination of a scheduled treatment, separate heat rooms and the mountain-facing lounge; its visitor restriction makes booking a room part of the decision.

The Broadmoor spa: your questions

Can I book The Broadmoor spa as a day visitor?

The official FAQ limits Spa & Salon reservations to people staying overnight and Golf Club members. A restaurant booking alone does not appear among the qualifying visits.

Is use of the sauna included with a massage?

A scheduled spa or salon service includes the steam room, sauna, oxygen room and lounges. Hotel guests who cannot obtain a treatment appointment may pay for those areas if there is space.

Which massage is the least expensive?

The Swedish is the lowest-priced full-length massage on the page read: $220 for 50 minutes. The Signature adds aromatherapy and a scalp-and-foot sequence for $10 more at that length.

Can we spend the whole visit together?

Companions can meet in the shared Mountain View room and terrace. The FAQ identifies the other spa amenities as gender-specific, so plan some separate time as well.

Can teenagers go?

The 3rd-floor spa area starts at 16. The gym has its own supervision rule for ages 16–17, and selected salon services are offered downstairs to younger guests.

How much time should I leave before a treatment?

Build in the requested 30-minute arrival window. The spa keeps the following appointment on schedule, so arriving late leaves less time on the treatment table.

Can I cancel a package the day before?

A package needs 48 hours’ notice to avoid the late-cancellation charge. The shorter 24-hour window applies to a single appointment; keep the distinction in mind if you combine a massage with a facial.

Choose the massage, then reserve time for the lounge
