Amanbagh suits couples who want 3 or 4 slow nights between October and March, with morning yoga and dinner by candlelight, from INR 86,220 a night for 2 adults with the lowest seller on Google in April 2027. As a base for Jaipur, 90 minutes away by car, I would choose a hotel in the city.

Like a regular

The pool courtyard seen through the branches of a tree, in the morning haze
  1. A pavilion with its pool

Each Pool Pavilion has 203 m² with a garden courtyard and its own swimming pool in a peaceful setting. I would ask for one for the afternoons, when the resort’s days are slowest.

  2. The cheaper April nights

From 4 to 9 April 2027, single nights for 2 adults ranged from INR 86,276 to INR 87,508 on Google, read on 17 October 2026. Between October and March, nights rose to INR 172,552.

  3. Service and GST on top

The terms of an official offer add a 10% service charge and 18% GST on the room rate and the service charge, 29.80% in all. Each extra person carries its own charge.

  4. What every stay includes

Every stay includes breakfast, afternoon tea, a morning group yoga session and a guided morning walk each day, plus a tour of the organic vegetable garden. I would join the walk on the first morning.

What Amanbagh is

Amanbagh stands at Ajabgarh, in the Alwar district, on what Aman’s site describes as the staging ground for the Maharaja’s tiger hunts. Palms and eucalyptus shade the grounds, beside a 2-acre kitchen garden; the buildings, in pink sandstone and marble, have domes, scalloped arches and stone screens, and the central pool is 33 metres long, with a 12-metre pool a little beyond it.

There are 4 categories. The Courtyard and Garden Haveli Suites have 125 m² on the ground floor, each with a courtyard for eating outside; the Terrace Haveli Suites have 163 m² upstairs, looking over the pool or the mountains; the 15 Pool Pavilions have 203 m² and a private pool of 9 metres by 3, heated in winter. In all of them the bath is carved from green Udaipur marble.

Every stay includes breakfast, afternoon tea, group yoga in the morning and a guided walk. The rest is arranged with the hotel: the village tour at dusk, as the herds come home, the ruins of Bhangarh 12 km away, Somsagar Lake 45 minutes on foot, safaris in Sariska, dinner in an old chhatri 5 minutes from the gate.

What makes it rare

A badge is an experience travellers look for, that is really here and that few hotels in the guide have.

What the badges are

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do Amanbagh’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. A valley in the Aravalli hills, far from everything, where guests write of silence, greenery and villages all around; getting there takes about 2 hours by car from Jaipur and 3 or 4 from Delhi.

  2. Room

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests write of large, private suites with green marble baths, and those who took a Pool Pavilion remember its private pool.

  3. Staff and service

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests remember staff who know what they eat and which outing comes next, candlelit dinners with musicians and the Rajasthani cooking; a few others write of service that is uneven at times.

  4. Breakfast

Those who mention it remember breakfast on the veranda in the calm of the morning.

  5. Price

Some find it reasonable by Aman standards, others expensive but worth it.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 28 February 2023 to 14 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Rajasthan countryside: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 17 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in the Rajasthan countryside:

  • Samode Palace
  • Six Senses Fort Barwara
  • The Oberoi Vanyavilas Wildlife Resort, Ranthambhore
  • Aman-i-Khás

Price: for two on the night of 13 April 2027, from 86,220 INR (seen on Google Hotels on 17 October 2026).

What a night costs, season by season

Single nights for 2 adults ranged from INR 135,416 to INR 172,552 between 17 October and 19 December 2026, and from INR 86,220 to INR 92,440 between 1 April and 8 July 2027. For a stay in the cool months, I would compare the whole stay before choosing dates.

The lowest calendar price Google Hotels showed for each night for 2 adults, read on 17 October 2026; no room or meal plan was named. The calendar stops at 8 July 2027, and 113 nights inside it show no price, most of them from April. Within the table, 9 January 2027 showed INR 216,922 between cheaper nights.
