I’d book Taj Palace for a Delhi stay where dinner is part of the reason to come back. For stepping straight into market streets, I would choose another neighbourhood.

Is it for you?

For 2, I would leave one evening free after dinner rather than coming back only to sleep. A private terrace makes sense if I expect to use it, including in the heat.

I’d ask for
Accommodation with outdoor space, specifying the dates and the outlook I want.
Worth knowing
A private terrace and a pool view are different requests: have both specified in the reservation.

Loya’s dining room
  1. Move up for actual space

Before moving up a category, decide how much time you will spend in the room. For reading away from the bed I would look at the Junior Suite, with its walk-in wardrobe and corner work area.

  2. Fit Club to your habits

I’d book Club if I would actually use breakfast, afternoon tea and the one-way transfer. Cocktails run from 6–7.30 pm and are only for guests over 25; with older children, the value changes.

  3. An evening on the train

One evening I would book Orient Express for dinner in the railway-carriage-inspired room. Leave Loya’s northern Indian cooking for another night rather than trying to fit everything into one.

379 guests said so on Google, from 27 January 2026 to 18 October 2026. Stored Google reviews dated from 4 November 2024; the latest 500 with text, or every available text when fewer. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in New Delhi: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 4 November 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in New Delhi:

Price: for 2, the night of 27 December 2026, from 22,244 INR on Google Hotels on 18 October 2026.

When I would change dates

Available February nights cost more than those in November and June. I would compare nearby dates before fixing the trip.

Before your stay

What does a night cost?

For 2 adults, one night on 7 November 2026 starts at INR 16,027; on 27 December 2026 starts at INR 22,244; on 1 February 2027 starts at INR 62,282. Each night is searched separately; check the selected quote for the room, meals, taxes and cancellation. Prices starts at Google Hotels, 18 October 2026.

Where would I eat, and what does breakfast include?

Spicy Duck serves Sichuan and Cantonese cooking; Capital Kitchen serves throughout the day. Club continental breakfast is in the lounge from 7am to 10.30am: before booking, check which breakfast comes with the rate.

What is J Wellness Circle like?

The menu includes massage, Ayurvedic rituals, yoga and meditation. LAVANNA is a 40-minute salt-room session; several rituals run for 120 minutes. I would choose the treatment and its duration before filling the rest of the afternoon.

Can I use the spa before check-in or without staying?

For a treatment or a visit without staying, ask J Wellness Circle for its price, timing and included access: the arrival rule alone does not settle those conditions.

What is the pool like?

The outdoor pool is heated. For a stay planned around swimming, have opening hours confirmed for your dates.

Is there parking?

Parking is among the hotel’s services. Have its cost and arrangements set out before arriving by car.

How many guests can an event accommodate, and at what cost?

Durbar is listed for 450 at circular tables or 1,000 in theatre seating. These are different setups. Have the space, menu, rooms and services quoted for the actual wedding dates; that proposal needs to define the per-person cost.

What services are available?

Room service operates 24 hours. Cots are available on request and connecting rooms depend on availability.

Is there a New Year’s Eve dinner?

For 31 December 2026, request the programme, menu, entertainment and price with the quote. A room reservation or an ordinary dinner booking at Loya does not define the New Year’s Eve evening.

Which offers would I compare?

Taj Club Rooms and Suite Saver requires at least 2 nights and serves buffet breakfast at Capital Kitchen: compare the restaurant before choosing the package. Taxes are separate and early departure may incur a charge. From 3 nights, Stay a Bit Longer also offers a room-only option.

I’d leave some of the diary empty here. Go out, come back, choose dinner without starting another restaurant search across the city: that is how I’d use part of the stay. If a hotel is simply somewhere to sleep, I’d compare that premium with what an extra night in India could give you.

The outdoor pool and Fairmont Jaipur façades

Fairmont Jaipur

I’d come to Fairmont for a celebration or two days divided between the room, meals and a treatment. I would settle the pool dates first, with frequent closures in November and December 2026; for exploring Jaipur mainly on foot, I would stay closer to the centre.
