The Leela suits couples who want Indian art and 4 restaurants between days in Delhi, with the lowest seller on Google showing a night for 2 adults from INR 23,104. For sightseeing entirely on foot, I would choose a base beside the sights.

Like a regular

A painting and red lamps along the Leela Palace art gallery
  1. Ask for Royal Club

I would ask for a Royal Club Room for the airport transfers and lounge access, including high tea and cocktail hours. Its 55 m² also come with 24-hour butler service and private check-in.

  2. The cheaper November nights

For 7–9 November 2026, single nights for 2 adults ranged from INR 23,104 to INR 23,629 on Google, read on 16 October 2026. The dearest night shown, 25 October 2026, was INR 247,936.

  3. Drinks at The Library

For a late drink, The Library Bar welcomes guests over 25 and requires smart casual dress. It opens at 5pm; I would make it the adults’ evening stop.

What the Leela Palace is

The useful upgrade is from a 51 m² Grande Deluxe to the Royal Club. A Royal Club Room measures 55 m², so its appeal lies in airport transfers, lounge tea and cocktail hours, and butler service. A balcony comes with the Luxury Suite with Balcony; 3 further suite categories have private pools.

The interiors have a taste for chandeliers, worked timber, patterned carpets and Indian painting and sculpture. A curator-led Art Walk gives the collection a thread. Upstairs, the temperature-controlled pool on floor 11 opens onto a skyline of trees, a striking change of scale after the drive through Delhi.

Give dinner a place in the itinerary. Jamavar cooks Indian food, Megu Japanese and Le Cirque French and Italian; The Qube begins the day with breakfast. Families with younger children need to allow for Megu’s minimum age of 8. Even the entry room is generously sized, though the current category pages leave maximum occupancy unstated: use the chosen rate’s occupancy when comparing rooms.
