I’d leave some of the diary empty here. Go out, come back, choose dinner without starting another restaurant search across the city: that is how I’d use part of the stay. If a hotel is simply somewhere to sleep, I’d compare that premium with what an extra night in India could give you.

Is it for you?

A higher-floor room can be enough for 2. I’d spend on the outlook before a private dining room that might go unused.

I’d ask for
Luxury for a higher floor; Deluxe Suite if a balcony matters.
Worth knowing
Balconies belong to selected suites, rather than every room.
Luxury Room

Like a regular

The dining room at 360°
  1. Premier or Premier Plus?

Both measure 51 m². I’d pay for Plus when I expected to use the Residents’ Lounge; the move from Deluxe to Premier already buys the extra room.

  2. Put the treatment in the diary

Allow 24 hours for an Asmi appointment. The spa is for resident guests, so it would not work as a spa-day meeting point with friends staying elsewhere.

  3. Read the cancellation line

Early Advantage cannot be cancelled after confirmation. With an itinerary still taking shape, I’d favour a more flexible condition even at a higher opening price.

What The Oberoi, New Delhi is

I’d book The Oberoi for a Delhi visit with room to stop: a late lunch, greenery outside the window and an evening upstairs. It suits several days of sightseeing with time to return. A trip that keeps you out from dawn until midnight gives you fewer reasons to spend on this address.

Think about how you will use the accommodation before moving up to a suite. A couple spending most of the day out can use the entry categories well; for work or a family, a separate living area can matter more than the extra square metres alone.

We choose the hotels of this guide ourselves, one at a time: no one pays to be in it.

How we choose the hotels

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do The Oberoi, New Delhi’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. One guest remembers the calm beside the golf course; a top-floor event also leaves a fond memory of the view.

  2. Room

Nearly every guest who mentions it is happy with it. One stay brings memories of a bath overlooking greenery and toys prepared for the child.

  3. Staff and service

One guest appreciates consistent care without intrusion; another remembers a spa booking that had not been recorded.

  4. Breakfast

Few guests mention breakfast: one remembers a meal made with ingredients specially ordered for him.

  5. Price

Accounts of the bill are few: one guest finds the hotel taxi expensive, while another feels the service is worth the spend.

500 guests said so on Google, from 25 December 2024 to 25 October 2026. Stored Google reviews dated from 4 November 2024, collected on 28 October 2026. The latest 500 with text in this bounded collection are read; these are not every Google review. The 21 comments solely about egg-sourcing policy remain in the raw data and are excluded from this comparison of experiences. Negative stay and meal accounts remain. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in New Delhi: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 4 November 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in New Delhi:

Price: for 2, the night of 6 November 2026, from 19,842 INR on Google Hotels on 4 November 2026.

A day between Delhi and the hotel

Morning

Visit the spice market with a cook

The Khari Baoli outing returns to the hotel for a private cooking lesson and a 4-course meal. I’d choose it for the day when you want to understand the cooking as well as eat it.

Afternoon

Keep an hour unplanned

Come back for a swim before the day ends. The stated pool hours run from sunrise to sunset.

From 5 pm

Look out over Delhi

Cirrus 9 opens for cocktails on the terrace. This is a good time to let the outlook decide how long you stay.

Evening

Choose the restaurant first

Dhilli serves dinner until 11 pm Monday–Thursday and 11.30 pm Friday–Sunday. Lunch is offered Friday–Sunday only.

The view delivers; some meals disappoint

A guest enjoys the golf-course view and service but finds some dishes at 360° inconsistent and Dhilli average. Across several meals, the tom kha soup stands out.
