Casino Bar
Every day, at the bar itself.
The MGM Grand bar to sit in is Whiskey Down, on the casino floor; Centrifuge, by the Strip entrance, opens at 7pm from Wednesday to Sunday. The pages read print no cocktail prices; they do print a happy hour with domestic draft beer and well drinks at $5.
Source checked 11 October 2026: MGM Grand, 24 Hours of Happy Hour

A drink at any hour without leaving the building, from a $5 draft beer to a whiskey flight.
PricesThe bar pages read link no drinks list with prices, and Centrifuge and Level Up are each closed 2 days a week.
Other Strip barsMGM Grand’s nightlife page lists 9 bars and lounges besides the Hakkasan nightclub and the Palm Tree Beach Club, by our count. We read the page of 8 of them on 11 October 2026, with TAP Sports Bar and the happy-hour schedule.
The Lobby Bar is the default: a few steps from the main entrance, on the casino floor, open 24 hours every day, dress casual. Coming from the front desk it is on your right as you start across the casino. It has a long list of cocktails, classic and current, and it is the morning stop on the happy-hour clock, from 7am to noon. Guests must be 21 to enter.
Whiskey Down is the bar with a subject: more than 50 American, Canadian, Irish and Scotch whiskies, with 7 video poker machines and the leather sofas and oversized chairs that give it, the hotel says, the feel of a speakeasy with a vintage, industrial look. It opens at 1pm from Monday to Friday and at 10am at weekends, and closes at 2am, or 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. There is live music from 9pm to 1am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and from 10pm to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. On «Whiskey Wednesday» a featured flight costs $35. The page names 3 house cocktails, among them Ember & Echo, a smoked drink on The Macallan 12.
Centrifuge is the first thing you meet coming in from the Strip: a circular bar under a glowing installation that turns and changes colour. It is an evening bar, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, open from 7pm to 3am on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and to 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, with a DJ from 10pm from Thursday to Sunday. Close by, beside Hakkasan, Level Up is a lounge for playing as much as drinking: 30 big-screen televisions, arcade games, shuffleboard, a dance floor and a virtual-reality arena of 2,000 square feet for up to 8 players.
Chez Bippy is the quiet one. The hotel puts it «behind the unassuming doors of Luchini’s Slice Shop», in The District: a dark, small cocktail lounge, open from Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm to midnight, with a smart casual dress code where the others say casual. Of the bar pages read, it is the only one with a link for reserving an ordinary table.
Losers Bar, also in The District, is a country-music room with spirits and beers on tap and live music every day from 3pm to 1am. It opens at 2pm from Monday to Friday, at noon on Saturday and at 10am on Sunday. 2 lines in its small print matter: it serves no food, and bringing your own wine or champagne costs $50 in corkage.
2 counters sell frozen drinks. 32 Degrees, across from Starbucks in The District, pours daiquiris and margaritas from 11am to 7pm and now sells «dirty sodas» at $8. Fat Tuesday, down the escalators beside the lobby doors, is the home of the 190-Octane daiquiri, offers a free sample and stays open until 1am, or 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. For a game, TAP Sports Bar has 60 screens and, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11am to 5pm, a cheeseburger with a beer for $19.99.
Guests do not agree about the bars. In May 2026 one wrote of «some lovely bars out the way of the crowds»; in March 2026 another found the downstairs bars «gloomy and moody» and wished for something livelier. The sharpest review, from February 2026, called the bars «a dud» and the music at Losers «slow and repetitive». A guest in September 2026 liked the bars and warned against taking a table in one without a booking.
One offer, $5 domestic draft beers and $5 well drinks, Red Bull excluded, passes from bar to bar through the day.
Every day, at the bar itself.

With Centrifuge pouring until 4am at weekends and the Lobby Bar never closing, the practical argument for a room here is the walk back. The hotel guide sets out the room types, from a Studio King to the SKYLOFTS, and what guests say about them.
The hotel, rooms and guest reviews3 bars elsewhere on the Strip, from their hotels’ pages read on 11 October 2026.
Petrossian Bar at Bellagio is the dressed-up alternative: caviar, afternoon tea from Friday to Sunday and live piano, open from 10am to 1am every day, upscale casual, 21 and over.

It never ends, it moves. The schedule starts at the Casino Bar at 2am, goes to the Lobby Bar at 7am, the BetMGM Sportsbook Bar at noon, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at 8pm and the Side Bar at 11pm.
The nearest thing is Chez Bippy, which the hotel calls «a clandestine cocktail lounge» and which is reached through Luchini’s Slice Shop. It opens from 6pm to midnight, Tuesday to Saturday. Whiskey Down, which the hotel says has the feel of a speakeasy, stands in the open on the casino floor.
At Losers Bar every day from 3pm to 1am, at Whiskey Down on every night but Monday, from 9pm or 10pm, and at Level Up, whose calendar names an 80s night on Mondays and a Latin night on Saturdays.
Only Chez Bippy’s page offers one. For 15 people or more the hotel asks you to call its Large Party Specialists; a guest in September 2026 found that tables in one bar were kept for people with bookings.
The published figures are the happy-hour ones: $5 for a domestic draft beer or a well drink at whichever bar holds the offer at that hour. For cocktails the bar pages read print no prices. The one guest figure we found is about the pool: in August 2026 a 12-ounce drink was around $20 there and a 32-ounce one about $32, before tax and tip.
TAP Sports Bar has 60 HD screens and drink specials during professional and college football games; Level Up shows live sport on 30 large screens.
At 32 Degrees in The District until 7pm, or at Fat Tuesday on the lower level until 1am, and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
